I am wavering whether or not to buy a 11 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope or even a 14 inch one- to see remote planets like Uranus and Neptune, let alone the galaxies. Can you tell me what Neptune looks like through a 14 inch telescope? Could I sneak a peek at its sattelites? Sorry for my english -I am from Romania

Hi, I currently have a 26mm orion sirius plossl eyepiece and I'm wanting to add another to the roster. Night Watch by Terrence Dickinson said you should have at least 1 eyepiece from the 40-20mm range and 1 from 13mm-19mm and 1 from 4mm -12mm I'm looking at the orion epic line because of the ED optics and the wide exit pupils and good eye relief but I'm not sure which one would be better the 14mm or the 18mm. which do you think would best complement my 26mm I already have and why.

Who will be in charge of Keeping peace in our own solar system, will we create a outer space task force to watch out for people in space, i mean when we become advanced enough to travel to Mars and beyond who is to say there won't be space jackers ready to steal your spaceship and leave you a drift in space, i think mankind will bring it's preditory nature into space with it, but how will law enforcement be adressed in space?

Chances are about 50-50 that in any night scky there is at least one visible coment that has not been discovered. This keeps amateur astronomers busy looking, night after night because the discoverer of a comet recieives the honor of having it named for him or her. With this high probability of comets being visible in the sky, why arent more of them found

traveling at light speed is obviously not fast enough. So how would a space traveler of the future travel between stars? List any theories please.

I would imagine a machine on board that could bend space and be at a different place instantly.
