I have no idea where they came from, we don't have pets. But somehow we have fleas in our house. Is it safe to use the store bought bug bombs with a baby in the house? I know that you have to leave the house for a certain period of time.

Are they more wreckless with their toys? I remember My great grandmother telling me about the one doll she had, she left it out so her father took it away. now I look and my kids have a room FULL of toys and its a lot of work to get them to pick them up. what are your thoughts on this?

My wife and I are having our differences...she likes the more traditional spelling of Abigail and I think it should be made a little more modern like Abygail. Help!

when you see a mom with 10/12 kids trailing behind her do you tend to look down on her? would you feel differently if there were 2 parents? if you knew some of the kids were adopted and not all from the parents, would you feel differently? what about if you knew they lived in a big house and all the kids needs are met, or if they crammed into a single apartment? over all how do you feel about large families in general, not personally knowing anything about them? thanks for your help. my mom is dating a man with a large amount of kids and should this relationship get serious, i just wanted to know if other people would look down on her or give us dirty looks just because of us kids. and please tell the truth. don't just say "i don't judge other people" to get a thumbs up. thanks again.

I took the 3 hour glucose test today and my final result was 155. I know this is a bit higher than wanted. I am just wondering if the lab results could come back different. I am feeling awful about this. I am afraid that I am doing something that is harming my baby. I try hard to eat healthy and stay away from sweets and too many carbs but it doesn't seem to have helped. Any ideas on how bad my level was?

I have a 16 year old Grandaughter that up untill this year was an A student and now she is failing most of her subjects.
She is allso skipping school and her life has become Sex Drugs Rock and Roll first and the hell with everyone else.
I dont think she is on any hard drugs but she has been smokeing cigarets and drinking Vodka. I have been praying for her aswell as the rest of my family.
The School offers little help and beating a child is against the law ,back in my day beating was the in thing so what is left "Boot Camp" at a last resort?
Does anyone know of any good boot camps or places to help these kids near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
Thanx in advance

do you cut a family member out of your childrens lives?

to cut a long story very short, it is my ex mil, i have given her many many chances despite reservations as she is a manipulative and nasty woman, and each time she blows it, not putting my kids first and disregarding everything i have said and insisted on....these are not petty issues, its some fairly heavy traumatic stuff for my kids. this weekend she has absolutely gone behind my back (again) and did what she wanted despite me telling her not to..meaning my kids are now suffering another trauma.....i know she is their grandmother, but i do not want her anywhere near them from now on. This will mean she wont see them as they dont see their dad (her son) am i being fair??

I am having a baby boy...the middle name is my dad's name and I'm sticking to it. My dad is very important in my life and I have to name my baby after my father because my dad will be a great part of my kid's life as well. So I had to find a nice, short, softer name for the first name since my dad's name is already long and strong. My dad's name is Leonardo...so my son's name will be Noah Leonardo...do you think it sounds good? would it be a respectable name at school? does it go together? the last name is Brito (pronounced Bree-to). Tell me what you think....thank you!!!

If you make your own baby food it is suggested that you start with fruit, veggies and grain (cereals) at 6 months and then meats and dairy (yogurt, cheese etc.) at 8 months.

So why do they sell stage one meats and yogurt when stage one is suppose to be 6-8 months?

Do they process the meat and yogurt differently than what you would do if making it yourself therefore making it safe that young?

I want to give my baby a balanced diet, but I would also like to make all my own food.

If she is only eating veggies, fruit and grain at 6-8 months then she would be missing meat and dairy from her balanced diet. (P.S. I realize that breast milk needs to be given also at this time, but I don't want her to get used to not having meat and dairy.)

In order to give her meat and dairy, should I use stage one jars until she is 8 months and then start making my own after that or are the baby food makers wrong by making a stage one food that is not supposed to be eaten until later?

later in life? One of my professors talked in class about how so many women nowadays cannot get pregnant and maybe its because we only have so many eggs and our prime childdbearing years used to 16-24 and now so many of us wait until we are almost 30 and we cant have kids.

she said back in the day women were pregnant for years! and this allowed them to continue having children because there eggs were not 'wasted' like ours are. So I basically took this as: if I were on birth control, which tricks our body into thinking we are pregnant, I will have a better chance of still being able to concieve later in life.... is this true?

My husband has a fairly flexible job, but he still doesn't have more than 15 days vacation. If we want to adopt internationally can he come for some of the trips but not all? Obviously I wouldn't travel abroad on my own, but I would probably bring my mom for the time he could not come. I know some of the countries require 6-8 wks. of travel. Would it still be possible for us to adopt internationally?

I'm on CD 28 of an irregular cycle (never shorter than 18 days and never longer than 31 days).

I had a bladder infection for a few weeks (the first antibiotics didn't work) and after I started feeling a little better, I got an awful cold. I've been a little more moody than usual and I've been feeling very nausous for the last week. I've also noticed that my appetite is almost GONE! I love to eat, so this is very strange for me.

I started lightly spotting on Saturday evening and it continued on throughout Sunday, but it never picked up flow. Today, it's almost gone. What is up with that??

When should I take a pregnancy test?

My husband and I always fight over names for our children. We have 6 beautiful kids and are expecting twins (Our 7th & 8th. I know we're crazy) and we thought it would be nice to get some opinions since we both have very different tastes. I tend to go more towards names like Ava, Emma, and Anna and my husband likes names like London, Ryleigh, and Teighlor. Any suggestions?

My daughter started kindergarten in August. She seems to have become very clingy since then. We thought this was normal since she had not spent much time away from me or her mom before. Now the mother of on of her classmates has died about 3 weeks ago. Since then she has been worrying about me and her mom dying. She doesn't want either one of us to go anywhere without her. When we went to the grocery store last week, we all had to go as a family. We have tried to talk to her and reassure her, but it doesn't seem to help. Is this a problem we should seek help with or will our reassurances eventually help?
