government run interests in education, health care, etc?

Do you remember the excesses of big business regarding polluting our environment (all those superfund sites didn't come from nowhere), exploiting labor (child labor, excessive hours, discrimination) early last century?

Don't you see any conflict of interest with profit driven interests controlling health care and education?

Can you not envision abuses and inequities based on income levels?

What's your small government solution to these problems, assuming you don't want government oversight as well?

notice how Iran is on one side, and Syria on the other side of the southern border of Turkey, where it meets Iraq.
Now notice, how easily accessible UAE is for naval supply ships, or even Israel or Egypt to Iraq.
If you were a Gneral wanting to win a war, and considered Iran and Syria enemies, would you squeeze your supplies between them, making the supply route easily accessible to enemy combatants??

Not all Germans agreed with Hitler but, many of those same people died during the initial bombing and the following invasion of Germany regardless.

There will come a time when we will have shrug off the chains of political correctness and fight a war the way war must be fought and many will die, both “radical” and “moderate” Moslems alike.

Or do you believe that Jihad and the subjugation of infidels are inherent to Islam and it is the teachings of Mohammad itself that drive the radicals?

Hillary Clinton has been a co-sponsor of the anti-Turk genocide resolution, but would she choose to vote for it this week?

Where is the upside in October 2007 to this Armenian resolution?
The bill is opposed by eight former U.S. Secretaries of State, including Madeleine Albright.
Excerpts:

Yes, but why now, with Turkey crucial to an Iraq policy that now has the prospect of a positive outcome? The answer may be found in the compulsive parochialism of the House's current edition of politicians, mostly Democrats. California is home to the country's largest number of politically active Armenians. Speaker Pelosi has many in her own district. Mr. Lantos represents the San Francisco suburbs. The bill's leading sponsors include Representatives Adam Schiff, George Radanovich and Anna Eshoo, all from California.
Pointedly, Jane Harman, the Southern California Democrat who Speaker Pelosi passed over for chair of the intelligence committee, wrote an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times Friday, questioning the "timing" of the resolution and asking why it is necessary to embarrass a "moderate Islamic government in perhaps the most volatile region in the world."

Is the need to smear Bush and placing our own troops in peril merely another ploy by Pelosi and Co. for the pleasure of obtaining more power for her party? Will these people really stoop this low?

I only ask this because it seems like such a no-brainer, yet they have yet to be created. Funny how Congress gets scared over a four term President, yet sees no problem with their bretheren serving 30+ years.

How many million people died?

Why did Gore chose to do NOTHING about it? Was Bill Clinton sitting on him or something? Was he tied to a chair?

I'm just wondering what the Hillary supporters think she is promising to collect 35 million dollars in only 3 months, mostly from big company CEO's and corporate funds? Do you believe they are giving her the money with no strings attached? Do you see a typical pattern here for politicians?

Who will bancrupt if oil companies sell oil for only 25 dollars?
It sound stupit, but it is not.
Oil companies have the largest benefits out of this ******* price and most of it is benefit, then why the hell do they keep increasing the price on any bad political event?

i am 100% AGAINST socializing medicine, and it took me a LONG time getting here. i used to think it was a good idea. i see canadian leaders coming down to california to get procedures done (close personal friends of the clintons, actually. hehehe...that of "politics" is a funny world.) i see people pulling their own teeth in england for lack of quality care publicly avialable. (see that report last week?)

THEN, i wonder, "is this a false debate?" are we REALLY debating between private and public here, or are we simply really talking about a ratio here? ....and subsequently, how to adjust it to better serve the public. i think one of the most toxic things in american politics (and democratic politics in general) is the inability to get the real 'face' of the issue as a result of political maneuvering on both sides of it. (no, i'm NOT a socialist...i'm definitely a fan of democracy, but it's not without its problems)

i'd love any thoughts you have on this.
