"California Grade 9 girl questioned about threats to Bush on MySpace "

She is 14 years old for crying out loud....what ever happened to freedom of speech? Do they honestly think a 14 year old girl is capable of killing George Bush? If so, they need to seriously reconsider their security measures for the US President.

The hot topic in the UK at the moment seems to be the rise in ''Faith Schools''. Should 120 planned Muslim only schools, be of concern to anyone outside of the Muslim community? Are schools the right place to guide young impressionable minds in strict religious beliefs, or should they be concentrating on academic education? This question is posed in politics and religion to capture both view points.

The kids will be studying the Roman Catholic religion. As part of the lesson plans, they'll take the names of Catholic saints as is done in the Catholic Sacrament of Baptism. In addition, the youngsters will recite Catholic prayers in class and will read and memorize passages of the New Testament from the Catholic Bible.

The boys and girls will also learn about the priesthood and the convent. They'll wear priest's clothing and the traditional gowns and headdresses of nuns.

To better understand Catholic traditions, they'll stage mock confessions and Masses. To learn about the traditions of Lent, student's will ''give up'' some favored thing or food and they'll also fast to better understand that part of Catholic practice and ritual.

I think it's absurd, these teenagers may be a little sad or upset or rowdy so they are put on huge doses of medications. Plus the psycholgists as they are called are just money grabbing assholes who only care about getting paid. How this country maintains it's status with the strange methods it has for helping the public is beyond me.
