I believe that the number one goal of the 9/11 terrorists was for America to consider the attack an attack on our entire Nation. Rather than simply consider the attack the mass murder of 3000 innocent people, our entire Nation devotes most of its attention today to this terrible tragedy. Perhaps this is what these terrorists wanted.

Now our rulers have an enormous Red Herring that they use to justify aggression against other nations. Recently, children were mercilessly bombed in their own homes and cars, and I scarcely heard a peep from Americans. The Red Herring, "We must combat terrorism," has been used effectively to justify this violence. Perhaps violence against everyone--including Muslims--is exactly what these terrorists wanted.

I was in my apartment one mile south of the Pentagon when the plane struck. As smoke filled Crystal City, everyone asked, "Is our Government doing enough to protect us?" But few people asked, "Are we doing enough to protect ourselves?"

Whenever someone complains about people who speak out against the administration, one of their defenses are, "If you hate it so much, just leave." If you want a country where everyone is forced to blindly follow their leaders, why don't YOU leave? This is a country that has free speech and the right to an opinion. There are plenty of other nations out there in the world that don't allow it. Perhaps you would be happier there? Has anyone ever thought that this "Love it or leave it" argument is extremely hypocritical?

Recently, from Afghan issue,I hear a lot about Pakistan. Its surprising that US has'n in close military & economical ties with Pakistan through various treaties since 1950. Paki sided with USA in Vitenam,USSR, Gulf and now on war on Terror. Contrary to what is shown on CNN, majority of people in Pakistan's urban area ( around 30% of pop) are westernized. Half million Pakis live in USA as an extremely prosperous, peacful & successful community. Still majority of Paki support President Musharaff who is a well known supporter of USA. Historically, Right wing Islamic parties could never gain more than 15 % votes in any election. Still I can't understand why people in USA consider Pakistan a fundamentalist state or anti-USA. I think majority of us dont realize that after Afghan war we left 3 million Afghan refujees there which r uncontrollable. They r major source of violence in Pakistan & elsewhere and provide cover to Taliban. When Pakis try to push them to Afghanistan UN stop them..

Did anyone listen to PBS this afternooon? There was a newsbreak in the middle of their music that said George W. Bush admitted to being gay, took back every bad thing he had ever said and done to minorities, Democrats, the American people and humankind itself, did a double back flip into a pool of Jell-O and then recited the Star Spangled Banner without messing up a word.

Yeah, I know...he'd never be able to recite it, I didn't believe the last part either.

It hurts to hear black people speak in such an obdurate manner as though Blacks deserved the atrocities that were forced upon them... these affluent Blacks actually try to rationalize racism they advocate for those that hate and persecute them.... WAKE UP... WAKE UP... WAKE UP...!

These white folks in 99.9 percent of the cases are perfectly comfortable... if you don't stand up for the blacks that lost their lives for the sake of greed then who will.... Should it be that all those that suffered be forgotten.... I am still hearing about the holocaust... does that mean that Jews are more worthy of remembrance than Blacks....
