Does anyone else believe that 9/11 was the direct result of ultra Political Correctness, open borders, and basicly America getting soft and folding like a house of card for every Abdul, Paco, and every other foreigner who cry's.
Where are all the balls in America. If this stuff happened 40 years ago, what would people do back then. I'll tell ya one thing we wouldnt be sitting on our laurels trying to open a dialogue. We would go out and whoop that ***

Everyone on here keeps saying conservatives are selfish, but think about it, every action you do is selfish. If i am wrong on that statement i would love to hear it. But, in turn, are there not mulitiple kinds of being selfish? One being that it only benefits one corporation or person and one that benefits others. For instance, if a company is making a lot of money, what do they do? They invest it, let's say to expand there company, and which in turn creates more jobs and gets money going through the economy better. What is your opinion on this?

A read a poll today that said fully a third of Americans think that the official (ie, true) version of events behind 9/11 are a government lie and conspiracy. That it wasn't 19 Islamic terrorists who drove planes into buildings, that Flight 93 was shot down by the Air Force, the Bush and Cheney were behind the whole thing. I've watched Loose Change, and more important, I've read the Popular Mechanics debunking of it (and read through Screw Loose Change). But why do some people insist that it wasn't Islamic terrorists who did this?

My gut says it's a combination of naivete and overpowering hatred for the Bush administration that is blinding these people (different ones have different levels of each). Is there something more that I'm missing? Anyone have any insight into this?

9/11 was the Republicans fault because they kept hounding Clinton about Monica with threats of impeachment distracting him from dealing with terrorism. Hey it's no more convoluted than the usual pablum the elephants spew.

Has anyone else noticed that in a forum that is supposed to be dedicated to Questions&Answers there such a large number of people that would rather crucify someone for a typo or spelling mistake than actually read and answer the question? Why is that?

Libertarians are extremely conservative on economic policy, and extremely liberal on moral issues. They are lax on our boarders, and they do not believe in drug enforcement. They do not believe in public education. In fact, they do not believe in public anything. They believe that everything should be privatized. Under their administration the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. The good thing is that they believe in personal responsibly. The bad side to this is that the crime rate will increase cause more people will be poor. I believe in a balance in government, and libertarians don't have any balance.

Dick Cheney was on the news today saying that bin Laden has "always been high priority" after 9/11. However, a couple of years ago Bush claimed that he considered bin Laden to be low priority, to be powerless and not a real concern. He said he didn't know or care where he was.

Did Cheney lie, now that bin Laden is making new threats?
or
did Cheney lie, now that an election is coming up?
or
was Bush just trying to calm us down before?
or

I am not sure if this is going to be a violation or not. During the Cold War though, one of Russia's highest officials determined that the only way to bring down the US was from inside of it. To use their people against itself, by brainwashing the people to make things seem different. Like for instance, the environmental movement, they believe things are a lot worse than they are, if in power, they would focus all their energy on the environment, and talking for peace. Do you agree with this?
