I'm very aggravated with both parties and don't feel represented at all. It seems that the only issue the Democrats are running on is the Iraq war. Most of the Democratic leaders voted to go into Iraq (Hillary, etc). Now they want to just leave. I think it was a stupid war, but we need to clean up the mess we've made.

I want to protect the environment, but neither side really does anything about it. All the environmental leadership comes from laws passed in California. Our national leaders in both parties haven't done anything.

I'd like to see a balanced budget. That's supposed to be a Republican issue, but they run us into debt faster than the Democrats do. The democrats took the line item veto away from Clinton, which would have really helped get rid of pork barrel spending.

I don't like high taxes. The democrats like to raise taxes and the republicans only cut taxes for people who don't need it.

What are your views?

The threat may be real, but what is the risk element of it happening and you being involved in a terrorist attack. Chertoff says stop the hysteria. For once I have to agree with him.

Including all military, aid, everything and close all borders. When other countries come begging, remind them that they did not want us there.
It seems like they don't mind taking our food and money.

I read a letter to the editor defending President Bush's stance on Iraq. What upset me was, it was word-for-word copied from gop.com's form letters. I know these sites want their letters to be published, but shouldn't people publish their own work? I am thinking of writing a letter to the editor requesting only original letters. Am I overreacting? Is it okay to use form letters?

The movie is supposed to be a bio-pic staring all those draft-dodging good old boys who call everyone who dissagrees with them cowards.

I'm getting a little Goddamn tired of you rightwing nutcases calling people who don't agree with you cowards. How many of you have fought for your country?

I would only become less concerned if a libertarian became president...but seriously, saying that you would harm John Kerry, or Al Gore, are you afraid that would be used against you? Because they could. They could do anything they wanted to with that freedom...scary, huh? Maybe you have nothing to hide, maybe they will say you do...

I mean, I remember the first time was because it was part of the war on terror, until we found no connection between Saddam and 9/11. Then, I remember that shifting over to weapons of mass destruction (again, no credible evidence to cite) What is the deal now? And how will we know when we are victorious?

I think they should. Without any meddling from us of course. But why do people keep insisting all these artificially created countries should remain as they are.

An independent Kurdistan would help the Middle East. The map of Africa makes hardly any sense, so why not have a better map reflecting accurately ethnic and tribal realities?

Nobody really answered this the last time I asked, so I'll try again.

George Bush's supposedly failed policy surrounding the Gulf War, and Hurricane Katrina have be repeatedly blamed for the cost of gasoline rising.

Now that the price is lower, who gets the credit? If Bush were able to control the market to raise prices for his benefit without any other factor influencing the prices, doesn't it in turn make sense that he is solely responsible for the decline in prices?

What about the fact that the price of gas, even at it's highest over the last twenty four months is still lower than what it should be based on inflation rates? Who gets the credit for that?

Just wondering how this will spin...

The only reason that India hasn't nuked Pakastan is because the USA stepped in. Now that Pakastan is no longer helping to find OBL (not that they every really did anyway) and have sided with Hamas isn't it bettet now for the USA to get out of the way and let the Indians nuke them? Maybe we'll get lucky and they will hit OBL.

5 years have passed and more people are becoming ill and dying from this tragic event in our history and today they must struggle and sue in the courts to get fair treatment .It seems so simple to help these people but at every step they must fight another battle to get what they have earned .THIS goes for our veterans also who do not have adequate care provided .
America needs to do something about this .IT is not political but just and fair .
Lacking our ability to handle such obvious problems as these leads me to believe something is terribly wrong in america .
