Granted, prohibition didn't go so well the first time, but for the sake of our children, shouldn't we keep these awful substances out of their reach?

Considering that most of them are Christians and Jesus was not a man of war, why do they seem to regard war as the first option rather than the last one?

bush cannot escape his brown skidmark on US history

To me gun control is a steady hand. Guns don't kill people, people with guns don't kill people, people kill people. My dad carries a gun and guess what, he's never killed anyone. In fact, my dad's guns have killed less people that Ted Kennedy's car. I can set a pistol on a rock in the middle of a desert, and it will stay there forever without hurting or killing anyone unless some dingbat picks it up and shoots someone with it. So why are guns dangerous? They aren't, they can only be as dangerous as the people using them. Britain and Austrailia have banned firearms completely and their crime rates have skyrocketed. Crooks and criminals realize now that citizens are unable to defend themselves and prey upon them without fear. Of course in Britain if you even defend yourself, you're going to prison too! How screwed in the head the British government be? That makes me want to blow up parliament like in the movie 'V for Vendetta'. - to be continued.

I always seem to agree with President Bush.If I were President, I would say and do exactly the same things-Bomb the sh8t out of the muslim "terrorists" everywhere.Invade Iraq just because they were mouthy and near my favorite oil supplier.Make special concessions for my rich billionaire friends at the expense of the middle and poorer class, eff them ,what good are they in the grand scheme of things, they need to be exploited for pawns in the international chess game of rich boys.Dems, libs, eat my dust you ignorant blind chumps. This country wouldn't exist is liberals had their way,or we would be slaves to some bunch of bastrids that did have common sense.I barely agree about the mexican slave laborer class, but from the rich folk point of view,it is a fantastic idea, considering richies kids go to private schools, and they live in gated communities, away from crude commoners. If anyone asks me I always say, yes,Bush shouldn't have done these things but on voting day it's neo con all the way baby

The only way Iraq will be safe from the shiites would be to put Sadaam back in power. Things were bad for the local folks but the Iranians werent killing Iraquis then. Iraq kept Iran in its place. We needed that counterweight.

The Plame leak.

Not only did Rove, Novak and other unnamed co-conspirators reveal a non-official cover CIA officer working on combatting non-proliferation, they blew the cover of a CIA company tracing terrorist financing. This occurred during a period when the country was supposedly fighting a war against terrorism. After promising decisive action against such leakers, the President remains silent, now that Rove has been exposed as at least one of loose-lipped members of the White House. Meanwhile, a furious campaign of spin to save Rove has been launched.

And no, this goes back way before Bush. Are you sick of non-americans being so anti-american? Lets look at Canada for example, they pride themselves in fact that they are not americans. I've been to a few canadian forums and all they talk about is how bad the USA is. Then the European nations want US to mind its own business and not go into other nations affairs, itsn't that a little hypocritical? Since they always critizcize the USA.

About Isreal: Russia condemns Israel taking care of its terroist even though Russia has no problems fighting the chechens.
The world is hypocritical and anti-american and mostly run by cowardly leaders (blair, chirac, zapterero)

I've read "The Death of the West" and "Where the Right Went Wrong" and I have to say, they were among the best books I've read lately. Regardless of what you think of his politics (I happen to agree with him), you have to admit that he is a brilliant historian.

"It's the economy, stupid".

Knowing that the word "stupid" is the most highly used word on YA, who does it refer to as it was used in that context?

You? Me? The gullible public?

Other slogans just fell by the wayside with that one, like the Bush 1 slogans.."New world order", "Kinder, gentler America"...and "Read my lips, no new taxes". They came and went, did they mean anything at all to you?

Or, just political bull feathers?

So Slick Willie is afraid of a little TV movie that nobody has seen yet, whats he afraid of? Maybe because he let Bin Laden get away when Sudan offered him, maybe he's afraid that Madeline "half wit" Albright warned Pakistan about the US coming to capture Bin Laden will get out? or is it that he just let terrorism run rampant during the '90's allowing Al-Qaida to bomb the USS Cole, US embassies in Tanzania and Kenya killing over 225 men, women, and children and injuring over 4000? and don't forget the first World Trade Center bombing! Why is BJ Clinton trying to pressure ABC to edit or censure this film? I thought the libs believed in "Free speech" I guess that just applies to a no talent fatass like Michael Moore when he makes a movie packed with lies about Bush. I'd love to hear the libs answer this one and please, come up with something original instead of "It happened on Bush's watch" What is Clinton afraid of??

During the last three years misdemeanor arrests have gone up by 73 percent, and murder has nosedived by almost 50 percent.

Complaints of police brutality have jumped by 62 percent.

can you say "prison-industrial-complex"? Profiting off of petty crime to sustain economic growth by fleecing society of more dollars, why not just tax us? It would be more simple, but then again, this is just one more way the elite charge the people and siphon money from the bottom to the top.
