I mean their reasoning for supporting gay marriage is that the Goverment should have no say if 2 people love each other. So going on that arugment, they must support 3 or 4 or 5 or 10 people all loving each other and being able to get married and live as one as well, RIGHT? Just wondering..

Hey, im just trying to get inside the head of a Liberal here...

Recent statistics on housing prices and construction make it clear that the booming market of the past few years has ended. As of July, prices of previously owned homes rose at their slowest pace in 11 years, and real housing prices--that is, after inflation is taken into account--have declined. New housing starts were down 13.3 percent over a year earlier.

This is the new economic reality in the U.S.--rising inequality even in boom times, and setbacks for workers during recessions, while both main political parties collaborate to further the employers’ agenda.

There are lot of military members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan who are running for Congress. Most of them are running as Democrats.

If Democrats hate the military as the Rush Limbaugh’s and Ann Coulter’s of the world insist, why would these combat veterans do that?

"Whatever you conquer has to be conquered again and again, does it not? But what you understand comes to an end, but that which you conquer never comes to an end. The battling process only feeds and strengthens that with which you fight."

My Professor in my finance class noticed that Walmart stock was down. She theorized that the stock was down because people can't afford to go to Walmart as much now because of the gas prices. I looked at her like she was crazy and she changed to a new topic. Even if the price of gas rose .50 and you bought 20 gallons in a week's time, that would be an additional cost for that week of $10. Yeah, I know most of us only have $10 a week to buy the things we need, right? You don't think because my professor is a liberal she wants to influence young people to think a certain way, do you?

If we pull out and they have a full scale civil war, so what?
a)iraq isnt' a natural country; it's hodge-podge of religious, ethnic and tribal groups caught within borders drawn by the brits after world war I.(read your history, they had the same problems that we're having now)
b)sometimes civil wars are the only way to sort things out (we had one, and that seemed to solve some problems)
c)we can't manufacture a strong leadership for iraq; only the iraqis can. and civil war tends to sort out leadership problems with everything else.
d)if the kuwaitis were right about what would eventually happen once saddam was dumped -that we'd get a saddam-like strongman who is focused on internal stability and economic growth, both huge targets that would be hard but not at all impossible to reach, especially with iraq's massive oil wealth -then we should let nature and humankind take its natural course.
the only caveat to this is that the turks will never let the kurds have their own country.

Proposed closures along the South Carolina coast set up by the SAFMC under the Marine Life Protection Act have prompted area fisherman to begin a massive petition drive to oppose any MPA's until a number of conditions are considered. More time and factual data is needed to accurately portray the stocks of such fish. These MPA’s are harsh and drastic measures. If these get passed, this potentially could create a flood of new closures to OUR oceans in coming years

Do you think it is fair or right that the only nationals that are here( hispanics) have to go back to Mexico, after applying for work permits and green cards in order to get them ? Other nationals in the US are not required to go back to their home country, or country of origin after filling out all the coorect paper work and paying the fees as well as fines, if any apply.
