Another apparent lesson Bush took from his decades-long inability to control his appetites: since I couldn't trust myself, I can't trust anyone else, and therefore arrangements based on trust won't work. Bush's foreign policy schemes are based on the premise that you've got to exercise violent might in order to protect yourself. On the schoolyard, this is called bullying. On the world stage, it's called "might makes right" unilateralism, and it relies on constant warfare (or the threat thereof) for survival. Is this the kind of world we want our children to inherit?

There's an arguement going on as to whether the Iraq citizen's who choose to defend themselves from "yes" the American soldiers are actually "terrorist" and not "insurgents"!How can we call these people "terrorist" when they are "defending " themselves?Do you think the problem is because the US soldiers are having trouble in deciding who is which? You dismiss my solid arguments because I generalize. What choice do I have? It would be impossible for me to say, liberals tend to do this, except for Lisa Smith and Bob Preston and Sally Fckwad. If it is a duty to support the president no matter what, as I've seen some people state on this forum. Doesn't that imply that if you do not support, or disagree you are UnAmerican? Where does the concept of Freedom of Choice play a part in this, or does it? They say Bush must be taken out of office because he was involved with 9/11. There is no factual basis to an asertion like this. They say Bush blew up the levees to kill black people. They say Bush is friends with Bin Laden. They say all sorts of things that they have no proof of. How can we be expected to have a rational conversation with you when facts are not important to you? By the way did you know that Kerry and Edwards have much more money than Bush? Oh, and did you know that the top 1% of earners in this country pay more than 30% of all income taxes? Did you know most poor people pay no federal taxes at all? I know facts are not your thing but maybe you should do a little research.

Do you notice that a lib question with many conservative responses does not have nearly as many poor ratings? What does that tell you? Liberals do not want to hear anything other than their own opinions. On the other hand, conservatives are willing to let you speak, we are illing to listen. It seems to me the so called open minded liberals are not nearly as open minded as us "stuffy" conservatives.
