It pinned better on Kerry, but the President himself has done some 180s....reversals on steel tarriffs, opposing -- then supporting -- an independent 9-11 Commission, setting up and shutting down the Dubai ports deal, dropping social security reform, and repeatedly revising his rationale for invading Iraq. Among others........

I apologize to all the mentally handicap cap people out there who are unfairly grouped with floridans in the statement above.

Kathren harris won the republican primary for a seat in the U.S. senate to represent florida. Does anyone remenber her as the florida supervisor of elections who ignored the ballots (which was her job to count ballots) and gave the florida electorial vote to bush. Yeah, same lady who said "if you don't vote for christian you vote for sin". so here is the question 1) how stuipd are we as floridans 2) and how badly do we to the rest of the nation?

I saw an ad on TV for some collectors items "containing silver salvaged from the World Trade Center valuts". I'm not even sure that the movies out now aren't just shamelessly exploiting the situation. What should we do? (Of course there will be different opinions.)

George W. Bush tells the American people that "the surest way to avoid attacks on our own people is to engage the enemy where he lives and plans." However, the plain fact is that in the decade before the invasion and occupation of Iraq by the American military, Iraqis were responsible for precisely zero killings of Americans. Now, little over three years since the beginning of Bush's war in Iraq, Iraqis have killed thousands of Americans. Is this what Bush calls "the surest way to avoid attacks on our own people?" Now, for people outside the Bush White House, hundreds is a bigger amount than zero. Apparently, Bush himself disagrees with that calculation. Dangerous, fuzzy math!!

If we look really good, most of us want to things at the end. More power and more money, or most money than anybody else. We work for it so hard assuming that we would hold it forever. then suddenly we get old and die. Have we just worked for no reason. I know one thing, I don't get to keep it... DO you?

What is it about the right that makes them so convinced that change is dangerous or that their opinion is the only correct one?

Conservatives, feel free to answer, but no angry rants please. My whole family is Republican and I am the one Liberal, so I know the arguments. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone besides me thinks that believing TOO strongly in any direction is dangerous.

To have an absolute opinion (meaning you think you are ABSOLUTELY right) means there is no wiggle room for discussion/debate/reform. Now, I know that conservatives for the most part are anti-reform, but come on, we all know the world changes and we need to change with it.

...why they are so quick to label conservatives as racists, when the conservatives support Israel and the liberals want the Jews in Israel to disappear?

...why they demand that all wars against evil stop, yet whine when they are taken over by forces of evil? Look to France in the 1930's, when liberals won the fight to stop preparing or even talking about war (lest they get hurt, besides, everybody loves PEACE), only to have Hitler walk all over them later.

...why they insist that only they have the right to express their opinion and define that as "freedom of speech", and that freedom exists only when THEY and only THEY get their way (to hell with everyone else)?

...why they believe that individuals cannot take care of themselves and are not responsible for anything they do wrong, and that the government must take care of everyone (even lazy bums) with the hard workers' tax money?

...why they think it is the conservatives fault that the liberals have screwed up our society?
