With this new tape of al-qaida being shown in all the news channels and being released so close to elections, did they also raise the threat level and spew a couple of "war on terror" slogans?

I am a staunch conservative and always have been. Im not against LEGAL immigration (Im married to a legal immigrant).I do however consider illegal immigration a very serious problem.
Now our party is selling out while we inch closer to election day. Any other fellow conservatives had enough? See the link to see what our party is doing now. Are you as fed up as I am?

Because he said no such thing. He was making a point. He was talking about an economic study referred to in the book Freakonomics that claimed that the reason crime dropped in the past decade was because easy access to abortion had prevented a population of "undesireables" from growing up and becoming criminals.

Bennett's point was that was an appalling justification for abortion. He said that someone could say that we could lower crime by aborting all black babies. That would in fact lower crime a little bit because blacks commit more crime than their share of the population. But his point was that would be an equally horrid justifcation for abortion.

I think a good man has been unjustly smeared by the leftwing press as well as a good number of gullible, unthinking people on here, and he deserves an apology.

I already have 20+ of the standard histories of US/UK involvement in Iraq from 1990 onwards; they all claim it's been a failure of planning, execution, etc. For the sake of balance I wondered whether any serious author had produced an account that said it was (or maybe will be) a Good Thing. I doubt it, but balance is always important.

Looking forward to the answers - thanks, friends.
