Do both sides need to define there platforms clearly for themselves and there oppenents? Do they need to openly transperently formally debate those platforms to see if they are right or wrong using all methods of formal debate and techniques of truth and rightness we now of? Does the current actions of both parties reflect a divergance from traditional philosophy and ideals do to the massive unparreled amount of change america is going through do to technolgy and modernization and a lack of consideration pf how that makes us too busy to reflect on if we are living up to our own standerds and if those standerds are right? Does our failure to live up to our own ideals, standerds and philosophies have real world consiquences ? Is that's whats wrong with america?

Will a vote of non confidence just make you mad that we are back at the polls ? Does Layton stand a chance - Ontario looks like it might swing to NDP - just look at how many seats are NDP in Toronto ............Who is the Liberal leader anyway ?

I don't think the Mulrroney closeness with Regan and the Harper Bush thing will be missed by Canadian voters at all.

Do you think the Sun calling the liberals fiberals will make any impact .............

We have this snake for a Secretary of State named J. Kenneth Blackwell who now wants to be the Governor. It seems like all the Republican-led Ohio General Assembly does is pass laws making it harder for voter registrations to be processed. Ohio Secretary of State's office has been doing similar things since 2004.

It doesn't seem fair that candidates jump from state to state
and people can see how this first state (like Iowa) voted and
then the second etc> and this could lead to how people in
other states vote

In the world of media hype it's hard to distinguish fact from sensationalism. To help me can anyone answer the following questions:
Since 9/11:
+ Have terrorist attacks world wide increased or decreased?
+ In the UK and/or US, how many media stories have there been about terrorist plots?
+ How many people have been actually charged with terrorist offences? (not including animal lib or NI terrorism)
+ How many people have actually been found guilty?
+ How many were serious threats (i.e. sentences more than 10 years)?
+ How many stories have appeared showing people being release from custody without charge?

Thanks.

The liberals have never led the country.

I think its because the republican give liberals a bad rep so when the republicans screw up they can just say a liberal insult and everything with just bash the liberals.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper said the Canada-U.S. Softwood Lumber Agreement would be put to a confidence vote.

New Democrats said they're prepared to force an election over the issue and the Liberals appear ready to side with the NDP when the House of Commons returns in the fall.

If we return a Conservative government we are garentted to have the US foriegn policy in our House of Commons and there will likely never be a debate in the house again

If we vote NDP it's a pull out of troops in Afganistan litigation over softwood until your grandchidren are dead but at least it would be an independant government from Bush and Co.

What about the ever silent Grits?
I want the troops out of Afganistan but I do want the Cdn military presence incresed in the Artic and I do think someone should buy the Armed forces equitment built after 1955 .
If the Tories lose (and with 34% of the seats they will) in a non confidence vote who will you vote for and why?
