I've formed my own views, but i want to know what you the people think. Was Al Qaeda funded and set up and armed by the US or not? Furthermore, how come all the international workers, i.e. french, israeli etc, were warned about the threat on the day of September the 11th and left the world trade center for cover, whilst the US government did nothing to warn their own workers?

Hasnt anyone noticed that all the wars and allegations against nations have been against Muslim nations? Surely people would see through the battle plan to make a new middle-east! So much for diversity.

There seems to be a rash of "questions" which are simply vendettas against Conservatives or Republicans.
1. Are you tired of these "questions?"
2. Do you think that hatred or sarcasm proves someone is "right?"
3. Do you think that these are questions or just attempts to annoy others? Please give your reasons, and no- name calling is necessary.

Polls for the last 6-9 months have consistently shown that the majority (50-61%) of Americans either want a withdrawl of forces in Iraq, or think the war was a mistake.

When it was 20% of Americans that thought that, the Republicans and conservatives said those people were crazy anti-American leftists who hated Bush, but now that it is around 60%, does that still hold true?
What about Republican Congressman that are part of the 60%? Do they hate American too? OR do polls not matter now that they don't favor Bush? Or are pollsters now anti-American too?

When John Swinton, chief of staff for the New York Times, spoke before a group of newspapermen who were toasting the "independent press" in the nineteenth century, he said, "There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of the journalist is to destroy the truth; to lie outright, to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, so what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of

They’re the only ones standing in the way of Bush’s lawlessness.

Thursday’s decision by Judge Anna Diggs Taylor represents a huge and welcome slapdown to Bush. And no amount of slamming the judge by the pundits on the right over the weekend can detract from its power. Ruling the NSA spying to be illegal and unconstitutional, Judge Taylor said Bush was acting like a king.

The Administration, the judge ruled, “undisputedly” violates the Fourth Amendment, “undisputedly” violates the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, violates the First Amendment, and violates the separation of powers.

Not mincing any words, she added: “The Constitution itself has been violated.”

She shredded the Administration’s two main arguments: that the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) against Al Qaeda justifies Bush’s spying, and that his commander in chief powers justify that spying.

As far as the first claim, she noted, “The AUMF says nothing whatsoever of intelligence or

I hear alot about lazy democrats and stuff. The majority of lazy people I have known are republican. When they have to work hard everyday like the poor do, they raise ----.

Got a republican buddy that moved here from Ohio and grabbed a construction job until he got his satellite business going again. Everyday he whined that he was tired and wore out. Now his business is going and he works maybe 3 hours a day making about $3k per week. He couldn't hang with hard work yet he judges and calls poor people lazy.

I know many people like this that I could list.

I just think that those people don't understand. It's hard to be motivated to work when you know you are going to be treated like ---- and like a slave and make just enough to pay your rent. I'd rather rob the rich sob. Call me lazy or whatever you want.

Society rewards male jobs with no education as much as college graduates (me) then those jerks turn around and judge us.

Even over this Labor Day weekend, when historically gas prices have always gone up; I cannot ever remember them going down over Labor Day. Cynical folk are saying this is in an effort to make people believe the Republicans are doing a good job and the Iraq war is going well, and thus influence the elections. I've seen gas prices drop by 10 cents in the last few days, and they are still dropping. Also true where you are? What do you think about this as politcal strategy? Will it influence your vote?

Iran being a member of Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is supposed to "obey" whatever International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) wishes Iran to do, such as suspending its Nuclear enrichment plan.

India, Pakistan, North Korea & Israel are NOT the part of NPT & in case of North Korea, it was once the part of it but left it & hence has NO regulation of NPT applied to it.

Why isn't then Iran leave NPT like North Korea did & continue doing what it wants to do, rather than STAYING being a member of NPT & hence being FORCED to act against its wishes ???
