I've heard it said that if Richard Nixon was trying to run under the republican ticket today he wouldn't make it because he'd be considered too liberal. In years past when he was president, many had considered him to be an exceedingly uptight conservative, ergo "tricky Dick," being his nickname since he was also full of tricks like many conservatives. So what gives? How is it we are returning to conservativism, with the rise in gangs and violence that seems to be a offshoot of all of this as well. Anybody ready to go back to the Peace and Love of the 60's Hippy Era? Of course without the drugs...but leave in Peace and Love...Why can't we all just want that? Why so much crap instead?

When faced with a truly outspoken (or truly entertaining) conservative opinion, I have noticed that Liberals often (always) try to silence the voice. Rarely do they take on the topic, ansering questions directly and presenting facts that back up the position. More often than not, they will resort to insults, irrelevance, and discrediting. When I thought I was a Liberal, I thought it was good debate, keeping the opponent on the ropes. After a while, I noticed that it was simply a good way to dismantle the debate. I realized, I can't be proven wrong if I can sabotage the debate, but I also can't be proven right. With this question, I expect the liberals out there to insult me, change topic, and blame me. I do NOT expect an honest answer.

Should it be, you kill one westerner in a terrorist attack, we kill one million muslims, that or deal with us in a rational form?

Will it come to that point?

I'm not advocating doing it far from it, I'm all in favor of peaceful solutions. I'm just wondering what opinions are on the subject

Me, I'm tired of "religious" A**holes here and abroad running my world. Will this and distrust of Muslims lead to actions like mass extermination?

FYI - I'm not a conservative biggot, or backwood hick, I'm a liberal (very) San Franciscan, I'm just posing a question.

Some seem to think your kid will grow up to indulge in one of the few ways to get HIV AIDS. For the small % which get it, its unfair that most people get to live without AIDS. So to be fair, and safe... Should ALL children be forced to be injected with HIV vaccine? (made from hiv)

Hopefully a few generations later, HIV will be hardcoded into human DNA world wide.

Why cant Christians be like Buddism, Judism, or even Muslim? Why do they constantly push this religion on people? Everytime someone mis-interpret (rather in a book or on TV) the Christian Religion they cry and protest. You dont see Buddist jumping all over the place for being spoofed or made fun of (it doest bother them). You dont see Jews boycotting books like Harry Potter because their Torah said Witchcraft was wrong and that its feeling young minds with Sorcery. Why not sit back, pray, study and accept the ones who CHOOSE to walk in the light? We cant not judge the Islamic Extremist for what they are doing, They are waging war in the name of Allah, Jihad number 3. Remember the Crusades, the salem Witch Trials, and The Millions killed during Queen Mary's reign (Catholics killing Protestants). I just wanna know whats the point of such hypocrisy!!! If your God signaled you to do his bidding with violence, YOu will hop to it...

you voted him in, Deal with it. If someone else was in office you would complain about him too. So give the guy a break. If you really dont want him running your country, Dont vote him in next time. But for now just leave the guy alone.

It seems once we have society go ahead we are more than willing to kill whomever for whatever reason society chooses.
And I find myself with a desperate need to kill those I hate,
though I refrain from action their heartbeat still offends me.

Hollywood star SANDRA BULLOCK's husband JESSE JAMES has launched a scathing verbal attack on US President GEORGE W BUSH, calling the leader "a d**khead". The motorcycle maker visited American soldiers outside Baghdad, Iraq - and is convinced the majority of the US military agree with him. James says, "Everyone in Iraq knows Bush is a d**khead. He's the boss' kid. "Everybody I know who has a successful business who has a kid - the kid is always a f**khead. Have you ever noticed that?"

What do you think?

Books on anti-Americanism, by people who are basically Stalinist clones, are highly respected.

That's true of Anglo-American societies, which are strikingly the more democratic societies. I think there's a correlation there...As freedom grows, the need to coerce and control opinion also grows if you want to prevent the great beast from doing something with its freedom....

I am a registered dem. and I do vote outside the party lines. I registered dem. because I had to put something in the box. There have been elections I have voted all Republicans and some have been a mix. I vote with what I think will work for me, and sometimes I don't like what the democrat party candidate has to say. People tell me that voting both sides of the ballot messes things up in DC and the state governments because I, and voters like me, didn't vote the party ticket. Should I be an independent?
