Does it not prove that ordinary Americans fully support such behavior from their leaders?

I was born in a Democratic home. I work in a mostly Republican setting. I went to school in a conservative private school with mostly Republicans.

My question is, why do Republicans sicken me? I actually am a quite conservative person myself, but why do republicans just turn me off? I can't pinpoint the logic behind my feelings because like I said, I believe most of the moral concepts they believe. Why am I not a gung-ho republican then?

...and the friends of libs in action? I really love that picture with the protester showing his "democrat" underwear. The cities of SF and Berkeley condone this activity, therefore, it is NOT just a few loons here and there.

Why are so many Americans misinformed and FOLLOW exactly what their Administration and commercial media tell them?

I am asking this because some person asked whether or not America is a 'fascist state' and some other person answered 'move to Iran' 'Terrorist'.

Since when did Iran become a 'terrorist' country? and why are SO many Americans very ignorant?

And the Roman Republic morphed into an Empire with immense power. Do you think this could happen with America? Or does this 'empire' exist now in a non-geographical sort of way with American control over world economy and projected military prowess?

when you are in the military. Why is it then okay to take human life? Shouldn't the commandment be universally obeyed or just when it is convenient?

Why, if you take it upon your own volition to kill, you are a murderer, but when you commit the identical act wearing a uniform you are a hero?

I'm pro choice, the choice to have sex, the choice to use protection, but the cancellation of a human being is where you lose your choice. and don't give me your bull about being raped, that's about 1 percent of the 1.5 million abortions/murders a year. if the moms health is at risk, i don't even know about that. the Lord should have the final say in that.

I think its wrong in ALL cases, however, I don't support a law against it, because that would just fill up jail cells. I think we should fight it as we have been, through counseling, and giving people all the options.

I hate hand guns and wish no one had one, but since that is not feasible and the Constitution says you can own them, I have a question. If we taught children to respect guns, could we actually save lives?

Of course there is also that theory that if you can properly use one (know how to take the safety off) you could save your own life if you were ever put in a situtation that required self defense.

Are these legitimate arguments or just NRA propaganda?

The Middle East, UN, or Democrats

2006-08-24 14:15:30 · 18 answers · asked by Walter D 3

Now the Middle East "cease fire" that the UN created is worthless. Might as well throw it away. I predict around the end of the year or early next year back to the fighting. But why does anyone listen to the UN anyways? Can anyone give me an example of when the UN did what it was supposed to do?
It's easy to forget how Kerry during his bid in 2004, kept preaching we need to go to the UN for Iraq. Now with all the UN's failures, why would anything change if we did go to the UN for Iraq?
I've said this saying to my friends for a while now, "When faced with facts Democrats try to distract."
So why should we have faith in the UN or Democrats?
