It seems like a country split down the middle, and nothing like the country of the 50's and before. Will it get worse from here on in, or will the US get closer to a single way of thinking?

The First Comandment says not to worship any God but Yahweh.

The First Amendment gives us Freedom of Religion. That means ANY religion!

We canot have both, backed by any force of law. One must supercede the other. SO-- do we do things "God's way" or Man's way?

Be aware-- "God's way" means we start arresting people for violation of the !st Commandment. That included a million and a half Hindu Americans, and thousands of neo-pagans. And to do it "God's way" means the Biblically-prescribed penalty: DEATH!

Man's way means people can practice any religion they want, not none at all! It means the government won't give preference or aid to any. It's the way our Founders intended. Changing that would be un-American.

I prefer Man's way. How about you?

If so, is it because they FINALLY found someone they could beat?

MAYBE, just MAYBE someday, they might ACTUALLY do that against a Republican and NOT one of their "own".

Are all you liberals just drooling retards? Just from a safety perspective you would think an adult would say "Self, maybe burning a piece of cloth in a classroom full of students may not be a good idea."

Any of you non-infantile adults ever think it would be a good idea to burn a dish rag in your kitchen? Of course not. But liberals, whose brain waves function at the level of a 6 year old girl, think it is just a great idea.

As to the merits of the flag burning as a civic lesson, couldn't he have just shown an internet clip from any day in Berkeley? I don't mind a healthy discussion on this issue, but the fact the teacher thought it was a good idea to physically desecrate the flag tells me he is also introducing an intimidating factor to influence the student's opinion.

There go the liberals again and their "freedom" of speech.

Notice I don't mind the flag burning discussion.

I hate seeing churches spreaded all over, why can't they be zoned like strip clubs? Why should the religious right be able to control liberal minded people, but liberal minded can't control the radical religious right? I'm socially liberal and feel like a slave to the social conservatives. Zone the churches, if nothing else...TO BE FAIR. Stop shoving churches down my throat like you stop strip clubs or book stores being shoved down your throat NEOCONS!!!!

This site has often been suggested as a rebuttal to the 9/11 Government Conspiracy and the thousands of Web links clearly showing that all is not as it seems on 9/11. To be fair to those that suggest it I decided to read it from 1st page to the Last. It is clear to me that it is a mish mash of Government explanations, dubious proffessionals who clearly are seeking some Governmental gratification and frankly bad Journalism and Editorials.

I therefore ask, can a sane human being really believe this rubbish?

Bush has made almost the entire world hate us, that doesn't make me feel safer. How could it? What is his logic on breeding hate in everything he says and does. Even over half of Americans hate him. This what religion is about? Tote guns, drink beer, NASCAR fights (to include babe fights), start wars, bash as many leftys as you can, and shoot hunting buddies?????

We have a volunteer army. Men and women enlist as defenders of the American way of life and our interests abroad. Why should 2600 of them have been killed executing a war for Bush's Oil Cravings.

Well looks like John Mccain is saying what most Americans think, so are republicans gonna turn on him now too? He is right..Cheney said that the Iraqi Insurgency was in its "Final throes" and remember Mission Accomplished?? I guess he was talking about some other mission that didn't involve the deaths of American soldiers. What do people think of this now?

why is it that with many political questions you get answer in the style of "I love my country and that's why my leaders are right!!" don't these people understand that their country and it's government are 2 different things? I do love my country but i hate the government because they're nothing but a corrupt bunch of sods only interested in keeping themselves in their position and filling their pockets.
In the words of Malcolm X don't let your eyes get so blind with patriottism that you can not see the truth wrong is wrong no matter who says or does it!!! What's your view on the matter

The majority of the people are toiling under the universal, age old illusion that the moral abyss of American politics can be reformed and made to serve the people as well as the public interest. According to this line of reasoning, the malignancy is principally the result of a few bad apples mixed with the good. If they are correct, then removing the bad apples will affect a cure. Yet that has never been the case and it is not the case now. Otherwise, we would not be where we are today. Consider, for example, that America’s Middle East policy has remained essentially the same as it is today through eleven presidencies, consistently yielding the same results.
