I know they've given about $4 Billion in aid (of all kinds) to Hezbollah in Lebanon but how much have they given the Palestinians?...and I'm not talking about how much is 'pledged' because all too often pledges go unfulfilled...I'm talking real aid.

I think that they may have had a majority elect them, but hallmarks of democratic societies are not a repression of freedoms; namely speech, religion, and the press. What are your thoughts? What does that make them?

if the american government ACTUALLY HELPED the people of mexico, rather than enacting policies like NAFTA, that pretend to help them, and in reality just oppress them more, and increase the profits of american corporations- would there be less illegal immigration?

here's some background, since everyone is going to say that i'm talking out of my a**, but won't actually read anything that you give them to support your arguments- There used to be an article in the Mexican constitution that gauranteed land distribution to the poor, but thanks to NAFTA- these lands have been siezed from those people, and sold to the highest bidder (usually a large american corporation who likes the idea of the lack of labor laws).

would you move to a place wholly different than where you live now or take yourself out of your comfort zone in order to gain a broader perspective?

I've just read his book, and being naive to all the political stuff, the stuff in the book shocked me a bit.
Some of it was a little bizarre, but I never dug myself in the George Bush and Republican/Democratic happenings.
Have you read it? Do you believe what Al Franken says? Is he really exposing the "truth", or is he twisting it?

I am not a patriot = I think all people are the same. Why like anyone less just because they live in another country? That is the definition of being prejudiced.

I think the guy is really just a face for the Conservative Party and I don't buy all his modernizing, 'compassionate' and green ideas. I think he exists solely to make the Conservatives popular so they can drag us into the dark ages again. What do you think?

Jesus was an even bigger pascifist than Ghandi. Bush has a history of drug abuse, he never sees his children and doesn't see them at their birthdays. He's a liar. He's stolen. He hates gays. He supports the death penalty. He approves of torture. He doesn't help the needy (something good christians do). He calls himself a profit.
