A newspaper on Monday described the Holocaust as a myth, accusing Israel of exaggerating the extent of the Nazi slaughter of Jews to gain Western support and contain its opponents.

``Why does Israel insist on bringing up this alleged Holocaust policy?

``I believe Israel and the Zionist organizations have two aims. The first is to receive more money from Germany and other Western establishments on the pretext of compensation for the Holocaust.

``The second aim is to invest the myth of the Holocaust and accuse anyone opposed to Zionism and its expansionist policies of anti-Semitism.''

This question is now being raised not only around the world, but also in Israel itself. Clearly, there is a huge gap between the army's boastful arrogance, on which generations of Israelis have grown up, and the picture presented by this war.

On the 32nd day of the war, Hizbullah is still standing and fighting. That by itself is a stunning feat: a small guerilla organization, with a few thousand fighters, is standing up to one of the strongest armies in the world and has not been broken after a month of failing attempts to "pulverize" it.

Why is it that when Ken Lay makes a few donations to charity, we Americans see past that and realize that he was a crook who needed to be punished....yet the Lebanese get fooled by Hezbollah's charitable works and give it a blank check to commit terrorism and bring a horrible war on them?

Now you have to be a rabid liberal leftist or an intolerant right wing neocon... nowhere in between. Is it not a rather childish and outright dumb development? It is almost as if political discourse has been reduced to a pi$$ off contest in the style Crossfire: the guy on the left or right will absolutely refuse to admit anything good coming out of the other side, in a blind and transparent way that makes them look like morons.

Why have the parties become so extremist and why do people keep voting for them and not for a new and refreshing third party?

I hope so, that extreme left wing Marxist radical Lamont must be kept out of the Senate! Do not let George Soros' shadow party gain a foothold in the Congress!

As you guys know, the U.S., the country in which the root of democracy started, has yet to have female President. The highest rank a woman ever held in U.S. government is Secretary of State. Yet, if you look outside the U.S., other countries have had/have female presidents/prime minister.
U.K. had one, the famous Margaret Thatcher. The President of the Phillipine is female. The Prime Minister of Germany is female, Angela Merkel. Ireland had female president. And many other countries as well.
I think it is a shame the U.S. has yet to have female President let alone female Vice President. I am a 24 yr old guy and I am not saying this to flatter women. I know a lot of clever, smart, charismatic women who can lead our country, such as Condi Rice, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi.
I think the time is overdue for the U.S. to have female President. Maybe we can make it happen in 2008 Presidential election. Does anyone have insights or thoughts that they wanna share with me?

If we multi-megaton nuked the middle east, how long would it take for the orange trees to recover? I'm very fond of Outspan oranges and would hate to see them dissappear from my supermarket shelves.I like their grapefruit too, so it is important we make the right decision.
