Back when the country had just started, a man (George Washington) said in his opionion not to have political parties, and if you look at where we are now, republicans v. democrats and democrats v. republicans. We can't agree on anything (most of the time), and we just throw accusations and insults at eachother. So why not just ban political parties and just all be a "no party"?

I saw this on CNN. They said according to Lebanese law, it is treason for a Lebanese citizen to talk to an Israeli. I haven't been able to find independent confirmation on this but would be interested. What could be so dangerous to Lebanon by having a citizen just talk with someone?

I fI find it strange that many major cities in the world, including Tokyo just this weekend, have lost electrical power in the past few months. Has anyone questioned or investigated the fact that this could be terrorists trying to see if they can black out a city before attacking it? WAKE UP GEORGE BUSH AND THE UNITED NATIONS!!!

They scream, rant and rave to save the life of a murderer (who has made his own choices), but flush an innocent baby that is inconvenient for them to raise. The one is totally guilty, and the other totally innocent, yet they support the guilty ?

If all mideast entities recognize Israel and stopping teaching hatred and violence ...will Israel have any moral authority to deny Palestinian their 'right of return'?

Several astute participants noted that:
1. Egypt and Jordan have already recognized Israel yet Israel has NOT let those refugees return.
You folks missed the point. If Israelis feel secure that they won't be killed by letting Pals return, then there's no justifiable reason for them to deny their return. Just because Egypt and Jordan are no longer threats, doesn't mean that Pals potentially arriving from those nations won't be threats...especially if they believe like Hamas does (that Israel should be destroyed). That's why it requires a PAN-ARAB recognition of Israel and not a case by case basis.

2. It's been said that Israel teaches hate to its children.
Let's assume that's true for argument's sake. It still doesn't invalidate my question. Stop YOUR hate and Israel will have to let refugees return.

It is obvious why some political issues groups the way they do on the political spectrum, like deregulation of business coupled with less taxes on business. But I don't really see any logic connecting other "liberal" and "conservative" issues. Why should one's opinion on the minimum wage have any bearing on their stance on abortion, the death penalty, free speech issues, etc.? Yet, while there are a few exceptions, the same issues bunch on the same side of the spectrum in most democracies.

If we don't agree with the way our tax money is being spent in foriegn policy, and feel it could be used better improving the problems here at home, we need a way to regulate what they can and can't spend it on.

The term 'Globalisation' is often refer to US dominance of the economy of the world, at the expense of others.

I see 'globalisation' as an economic movement towards satifiying; the parts of the world who are needy, by parts of the world who can supply those needs.

GLOBALISATION !

All religions should aspire to world peace
