nuclear attack on Israel?

Kind of like what the US had going with the USSR during the cold war called MAD (Mutual assured destruction)? Both sides knew it was pointless to attack each other with nukes because they both knew they would be wiped off the map.

then how is it when one opposes the mission in Iraq they are supporting terrorism.

I was under the impressiont that the war in afghanistan was about combating terrorism, I am yet to see a post opposing that particular war.

What do you think about Al Gore's film (not a documentary) about global warming, "An Inconvenient Truth". Personally I think its a bunch of hogwash and that he is a hypocrite. Did you know that he uses more energy then 10 households? Also he likes to drive SUVs? Does this sound like a worried 'environmentalist? I think not.

Who's really proud that they voted for Democrats in the mid-term election? I mean seriously, they failed to accomplish 2 or 3 non binding resolutions that would have served no purpose in the first place. Now they want to pass a spending bill that will put a deadline on the war and assist the enemy. If this does miraculously get past the Senate, the President already said he will veto it. So why are they wasting their time. Are people really proud that they voted for this charade?

UNITED NATIONS - South Africa called Monday for a 90-day "time out" on sanctions against Iran and said a resolution drafted by six world powers should drop an embargo on arms exports and financial sanctions targeting Iran's Revolutionary Guards and an Iranian bank.

The proposals by South Africa, which holds the rotating presidency of the U.N. Security Council this month, were obtained by The Associated Press ahead of an informal council meeting Tuesday and the first formal discussion Wednesday on the draft resolution.

_Only 18 percent of Iraqis have confidence in U.S. and coalition troops, and 86 percent are concerned that someone in their household will be a victim of violence.
_Slightly more than half of Iraqis — 51 percent — now say that violence against U.S. forces is acceptable — up from 17 percent who felt that way in early 2004. More than nine in 10 Sunni Arabs in Iraq now feel this way.
