I consider myself a fiscally conservative libertarian, and believe that not every problem can be solved by throwing money to a government program. I am pro-choice, but you could say I have -some- sympathy for the pro-life argument. I also tend to share the conservative stance on illegal immigration.

But on the other hand, when it comes to foreign policy, it seems like this administration's made the wrong move at every turn. Now we're stuck in this war in Iraq for no real good reason.

So I tend to follow, as I see it, the real traditional conservative ideology as opposed to the neoconism of today.

However, I don't like it when some people tend to condemn all conservatives because of who's in power (Cons do this to liberals too, so I'm not excusing that either). Just because we consider ourselves conservative or republican doesn't mean we support Bush.

Does anyone else feel this way?

for the war in Iraq... when we still have the reconstruction or demolition in Louisiana and Mississippi to worry about? Why can't we help our own first. Sometimes it just seems like we help every other country but our own. Keep in mind I am a veteran so I do support the military but not necessarily every cause.

Do you think that George Bush is good for this country? He's gotten us into a war, sent out over 200, 000 troops; and he still remains in office. Is it just me or is he wrecking the United States? I'm a little bit opiniated. So, excuse me if I sound a little rude.

It is the entire basis of your accusation that George Bush is a liar.

The photograph of the memo was destroyed by the reporter who allegedly retyped the memo.

Does that seem strange to you?

Now that the entire foundation of your accusations of Bush has been shown to be rediculous. Do you owe Bush an appology?

For instance: Do you believe that the American public will discern that the Bush administration is trying to hide something when they refuse to participate in open government and appear before Congress under oath and with transcripts being kept?
This may be alot to do about nothing, but the response by the Bush administration, thus far, leads me to believe otherwise.

The reporter who "broke" the story about George Bush lies, claims to have destroyed the evidence.

Do you feel a bit stupid for being so naive? Or do you have faith that he really destroyed a photograph of the memo that proved Bush lied?

Are you that naive?

and if you are going to cite it, could you remember that the 'downing street memo's" were "destroyed" by the reporter that claims to have retyped the memo.

Is that really enough evidence of a lie? Or do you have something real?

----

(I also know most of you have never heard of the downing street memo's, even though that is the basis of your entire opinion on Bush. If that is the case, one word: Pathetic!)

We've been hearing for years that if someone has nothing to hide, they shouldn't be at all concerned with warrantless wiretaps of their phone conversations, or random searches of their bags or of police entering their home without a warrant.

So the question is, if Bush has nothing to hide why can't Rove and Miers testify under oath? Aren't they just public servants who work for the people? Or does Bush consider himself and his people above the law? And if that's true, wouldn't a Democratic president also be above the law?

Seems awfully inconsistent to me.

What is the problem here? Why are people defending the Bush administrations, almost paranoid secrecy, on an issue that has nothing to do with national security? Bush fought the 9/11 investigations, when his own party was in control of both houses of Congress. When did conservatives become afraid of open government? I want to know what the hell is going on and I don't want someone to walk out of a smokey room and tell me. I want open government!

How many times are liberals going to dismiss clinton's lies under oath while he was being investigated for sexual assault, as "just lying about a b.j."?

and don't tell me to "get over it, it was years ago", because some liberal says the above mentioned every day on here.

In an AP news article"

"Bush said he worried that allowing testimony under oath would set a precedent on the separation of powers that would harm the presidency as an institution."

Here is the link. Do you agree? Is this the most ridiculous thing to come out of his mouth yet?

What do you think the chances are that the Dems are waiting Bush's term out so once they have the White House, the Congress and the Senate they can then prosecute Bush and his thugs for 9/11, and misleading us all into Afghanistan and Iraq?

Or is it going to just be more of the same?

With the latest flap about the firing of 8 US attorney, Clinton fired 93 some of them investigating him and his friends no fanfair no big deal by the media, typical liberals will say Clinton did not do it during the middle of his term pleeease! (Irrelavant) they can be fired at the whim of the president.

If democrats say there is no media bias I think I will hurl. I think this a testament to the fallacy of appeasement. Here we have a president that is polite and will not say bad things about democrats and gets attack on a daily basis there is a lesson to be learn here.
