what do you think there finest moment in history was its hard to chose 1 because the British have won so many wars over the years and given the world a lot of the military technology we still use today such as the tank the fighter jet etc for me its got to be the British people and its and its powerful air forces defence in the battle of britain an armarda of german aircraft coming over the channel and with inferor numbers the british never broke and the skill of its pilots was to much for the germans effectivly turning the tide of the war .

We have finished the efmp screenings and are cleared. According to the Milpo info we are command sponsored. My husband was just able to request family travel today. Also, the waiting list for housing is less than thirty days which I've heard is good for the time to process the orders. How long does it approximately take to process the travel orders at this point when I have nothing left to do but wait? Also, this is the last thing I need to move my passports are sitting in the office waiting for the orders, the housing director is just waiting for my orders to give us a home, our stuff is shipped and our UB shipment is there. I have nothing left to do but wait so how long does it take at this point??

Yesterday Bush compared the current war with WWII and the fight against the Nazis and Japan, and that not fighting it would be immoral. Is this fair? I personally think Bush would fancy himself in the future as the lone voice of morality, and saying "I told you so" if the war in Iraq does reach WWII proportions. Do you think this will happen, or is Bush trying to make us all feel guilty and support the war and, essentially, himself? It's hard for me to see how he does compare the war to WWII, maybe you can argue for it, too.

I want to find out what some other people think about this recent issue. Alaskan air defense recently had to escort a Russian bomber out of restricted air space when it cam too close to the RA line. Tuesday Georgian officials claimed that a Russian plane came three miles into their restricted air space before leaving. Are they probing, are they trying to find out how far/close they can get to restricted air space before being found out ? What are they doing this for. It seems strange that they have violated two different air spaces in the same week. Whats up with this ?

I would like to find out more about some WWII military badges used in a necklace and bracelet set my great uncle gave to my grandmother when he came home from the war. My grandmother was too young at the time to remember anything he may have told her about the gift and he has since passed away.

The badges are brass with enameling. The roundish badges have the motto of the Order of the Bath enscribed on them (Tria Juncta in Uno).

I've done several internet searches but haven't found much information.

Any information on who wore these types of badges, what they signified, or anything about jewelry made from military badges would be great.

If anyone knows of a good forum where I might ask, that would also be appreciated.

I posted a picture of the set here:

yet another example of our troops not getting what they need.

Seriously, if you care about the troops how can you support an administration that sends them to war without equipment that could save lives?

I'm thinking of joinig the Navy one year from now. Basically, I'am a junior in college and have one year left in my studies. I was thinking of exploring the world before I apply to graduate school, and I heard the Navy is good for that. I' am thinking of doing a one year commitment in the Navy, no more than one year. Is it possible?

My boyfriend graduated as an Animal Vet major w/ a 3.35 GPA. He has lots of volunteer hours and extra curricular's...I think he has a little bit of leadership experience. He hasn't had a job in 3 years, so he cannot get a letter of recommendation from an employer. All together, he is afraid of being underqualified. Should he be searching for another job in the meantime?

Please don't answer unless you are in the Navy or your close to someone in the Navy.

How long does it take to get released from the military after medical discharge has been ordered? I have heard a month or so, and I have also heard a few months. Are there any situations that might make it take longer than "ususal"? My fiance was told by his doctor yesterday that he should be released on medical discharge due to a perminate injury to his ankle. How long should all of this take?
