I would put a ban on carbon-producing factories, put a ban on all rain forest burnings and the cutting down of rain forest trees, stop funding rediculous secrative and wasteful government spending and replace it with feeding starving people here and abroad. Oh, and I would abolish football too, haha

America the Beautiful
America the great
If this is true
Why was this our fate?

Children...Mere babies died on that horrible day Only months after people started to forget and now look at most people waving there peace signs saying we should have never started this war. Well guess what... we didn't, we retaliated with good reason and justification. The United States of America has the worse healthcare system of all free-industrialized nations. Democrats will have charge of the House, the Senate, and U.S. Congress come January. Do you think that they will fix America's healthcare problem and give us a healthcare system like all other free-industrialized nations have? It SHOULD BE our right, as American citizens, to have healthcare. Do you think we will get it?

First reduce the layers of government to (3), Federal, State & County. Dump Twp & City level saving 120 billion yearly (84% is salaries BTW).
FIRE the IRS and have a National sales tax of 18%, a savings of 320 billion yearly. Cut personal property tax by 60%, FIRE 320,000 government workers who are useless. Pass a law that if you are in this country illeagally you have 72 hours to leave or you will be dropped over Sothern Mexico by airplane. Give our soldiers a 20% raise effective last year. Pass a law that if a member of congress talk's too, comunicates with, makes eye contact with a wealthy pork-barrell carrying lobbist..you will be asked to leave congress today and be charged with treason. Tell the Arab world we pay $7 a barrell...take it or leave it.

That's some of my ideas....where am I wrong?

I know much of the money contributed to Social Security was 'borrowed' by the US Government and if you ask Congressmen what Social Security got in return they will tell you T Bonds. This sounds good if your highest grade level completed was 3rd.

Think about this. You borrow $10 (social security tax) and you put it into your left pocket. Then you take it out and put it into your right pocket (money added to the US budget). So that everything balances you put an IOU (US T bonds) in your left pocket. Later you spend the $10 to buy a pair of socks (i.e. some government expense like a bridge in the middle of nowhere).

When the person you borrowed the money from asks to be repaid, what is going to happen? How will the money be repaid?

Such creative financing gets corproation executives sent to jail. What happens when Congressmen do it? They get re-elected. What do you think about this?

In the UK, Blair is widely criticised. In the US, Bush doesn't seem too popular. How about we do a swap. The UK gets Bush for Prime Minister, America gets Blair for President, say for a year. Could be fun.
