Does this forthcoming election have you a little worried?

It seems like there's more tension, more to be gained or lost, with this one than any I can recall.

What worries you about the forthcoming election?

How come the other candidates are put on the back burner while Obama and Clinton get the limelight?
Are the networks reporting the debate, or creating debate?
They seem to be aiding and abetting some, while ignoring the others.
Is Wolfe Blitzer unbiased, or a real suck up to some?

Edwards was on Face the Nation and on Wolf Blitzer this morning and did a great job recovering from that ridiculously pro-Hillary debate the other night. I think he's ready to make a run at Iowa.
What did you guys think about his interviews this morning?

I agree the border must be sealed to illegal immigration, however it would be impossible to deport millions of people. The Germans tried deporting millions but couldn't and they had to go for the gas chambers but that's not an option here.
Besides Bush would not have been elected without 44% of Hispanic vote.
The Hispanics have a high birth rate and they will even more influential in future years.
Do Republicans are ready to loose power for generations to come with 90% of Hispanic votes going for the Democrats?

Think twice about alienating Hispanics.

I hear he refused to meet with any civil rights leaders. Refused to attend any conferences that deals with racism, etc..

And he made a video that was very offensive to hispanics.

I mean does he actually beleive he can win or is he just trying to hi-light some issue that he supports? He's doing so badly in the polls why hasn't he dropped out? And who in God's name is giving to his campaign? Do Americans actually take him seriously of is he just some form of light enterainment?

With all the information available and the exposure global warming has received ... is there a good case that those who vote Liberal are voting against the environment and the human race? Are Liberal Voters committing a crime against Humanity?

See this accusation of extreme negligence against Howard from the Greens:
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/11/18/2094068.htm

Australian Conservation Foundation executive director Don Henry says the IPCC report shows Australia needs to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 80 to 95 per within 50 years... if Australian authorities take drastic action now, some of the predicted devastation could be avoided. "We require a cut of our emissions between 80-95 per cent by 2050 and somewhere between 20-40 per cent by 2020," he said.

"So we can't muck around - we've got to get going. I just make this point: the science is now in; it's terrifying. Australians desire to act - we desire action; all we require now is political will"

Ok, this is getting annoying, is Obama a Muslim or not? according to Fox News (Yes, the loon station) Obama was in fact educated as a muslim, and was muslim. I wouldn't consider this a big story, except he has repeatedly claimed that he was never Muslim. Does anybody know for a fact what the truth is? Anybody an old childhood friend (lol), or just really up on the facts? This is bothering me, almost as much as the stories about Rudy's kids coming out against him.

if you read my question and didnt just jump in prematurely to save hilary or stand up for your femininity, you would have seen that i was not saying we should elect our president on other countries beliefs, but on the issues that our country will be dealing with. and all those who think that condalisa rice is calling shots over their are way off, she is the voice of the president, and negotiates policies that are put in front of her, she is the presidents p.r. gal ,to think that she is anything more, you need to get better informed or educated. so, my question, again, with no insult to gender, political party, race, etc. is, woman prez. is it a good time? remember, those people in the middle east, dont look at things rationally like we do here, and i wouldnt have any doubt about a woman having the top govt positions in every state and congress etc. we are talking about fanatics,in countries where they kill their own people, ......show up looking weak, ...asking 4 anthr 911. b open minded.

Have followed with interest the coverage on various networks and feel that the media coverage has been bias and unbalanced. Most recent being early sunday morning on one of the networks a bias/unbalanced comment coming from a male presenter with his female work mate raining him in.

Obama is accusing Hillary of "swiftboating" him. Swiftboating is the term coined by liberals to demonize people for letting the voters know about a candidates record.

There is no term "Ratherizing" which is making up a phony record about a candidate.

Now it seems they are using their own Maoist style attack/complain strategy against each other.

Is Hillary guilty of Swiftboating; if there is such a thing

You just scroll down the page, look the the left and you'll see "Show", with a little drop box where you can select "USA questions only".

Then you can avoid the sometimes confusing problem of seeing questions from millions of other people around the world which don't relate to the USA. This is important in sections like Politics & Government, Business/Tax, etc, where the systems and issues are not always related to the USA. It doesn't matter in most other universal sections of YA, though.

People don't like being told to use their own country's YA, or that their questions are irrelevant to the USA, because it's essentially a global site and even when we are using our own country's YA you can still see our questions unless you select "USA questions only".

And in Australia, the Liberal party are the conservative ones like your Republicans - so it is very odd when you answer our Elections questions.

Have a nice day :)

I watched the entire documentary about three times already. I definitely thing that is is worth watching and thinking about. They bring up some very interesting government topics that are worth our attention. I definitely say this is a must see movie. Draw your own conclusions, but I would like to hear some feedback on any of the issues they brought up. Here is the link if you haven't seen it.

Dennis Kucinich really zinged him when he was talking about his vote for trade with China, when they have unsafe products. Edwards response: Uh, well uhh I think we need to make changes now... errr uhhh.... but it was still the right vote.

WHAT? and he attacked Clinton for not answering a question in a legitimate way.... wow. Edwards really has fallen.

O.K. I would like to know WHY I should vote for Giuliani for President of my United States.

Here is what I do know:

Yes, he ran the largest city in the United States and did a decent job of it. He didn't have to deal with a Congress to get his agenda across though. How does this qualify him to run a country... He has NEVER served on the national level.

He is a fairly liberal conservative (in my view). How do I know he will fight for what I believe in? The most important of which is restoring the economy and downsizing the federal government.

What can he offer me above that the other candidates (I'm talking in the GOP) can offer the most prestigious elected position?

Please let me know in your answer that you have ACTUALLY RESEARCHED THE OTHER CANDIDATES. Right now I am leaning towards McCain for several reasons (only one to serve in active (not reserve/guard) military, hates pork spending...).

Don't bash the other candidates. Tell me why I should vote Giuliani.

Why won't Dems realize that Hillary can't win in a General election against Giuliani? How do you think Bush won the last two elections? It all boils down to likablitiy. I've heard so many dimwits I know who voted for Bush say "I voted for him because he seems like a guy I could hang out with, he seems down to earth. That Kerry/Gore guy is a robot". Forget about the current polls, they are meaningless until the reality of the General Election is at hand. Picture the debate of Hillary against Rudy on T.V. Who's has the abrasive, hard exterior? She won't be winning anyone over that isn't with her already. Let's face it she is a very unlikeable character. If you are a Democrat and you vote for Hillary in the upcoming primaries you can thank yourself when the Repubs keep the Whitehouse and the Iraq war continues with no end in sight. Not to mention 4 more years of sitting on our butts concerning global warming.
