who is watching the government? They are more interested in who/whom one marries, straight or gay, while our covert government is infiltrating iran? does this make sense. what was the most unreported important news story? how about Iran and korea? while they worry about our sexual habits, we are invading other countries, a conveinent way to obscure/blind the public with nonsense issues, while our government is "spending" more than it is taking in. Illegal Aliens, legalize them all, then they too can pay taxes and pay into the "system", they are already here. my opinion, and yes opinions are like butts, everyone has one!!!!

I had a child in 1983...after a long battle I got custody...on her first visit she took off with him and was not found for just over 5 years. The Court would not give him back to me as he had no idea who I was. After 2 years of supervised visits and nothing but anguish from the child she asked if I would allow her current husband to adopt. I agreed. Now ten years later I have been arrested for not paying support and am being held accountable for 10 years back support. Any thoughts or opinions?

My answer to my own question would have to be this: I'm not thrilled about them listening to my calls, but if they are, I know that I have nothing to hide. I would rather put up with them listening to me yak on the phone, than have to put up with watching another aftermath of a terrorist attack. If they're able to intercept terrorist phone calls, they can go right ahead and listen.

...with the way our government is monitoring everything we do?

Airport security taken to ludicrous levels, private phone calls being listened to, etc. And to call into question the First Amendment rights of the NY Times, under the guise of National Security?

This is just the tip of the iceberg. How could these things happen in the Land of the Free?

Since it is legally ok for a woman to kill her baby if she doesn't want it, why should a father be forced to pay child support on a child he doesn't want.

What do you think is the real reason for it, and do you think it was right to go to war?

Each day I read about terrorism and the forrien threat.I read articles trying to show how this is a real threat and how it must be stopped at all cost. Each day I see how we can;t stop crime in our own neighborhoods and yet we think we can make the world a better place. Before my family spends its resorces on going on vacation we pay the bills and take care of our own familys needs, I think of this as real family values. Not running up our credit debt to pay for non-essential wants!

I'm not for G.W Bush, I don't even know if I'm against him (I havn't done the proper research) but I wonder if this is the position of most people who are against him (they have failed to do the proper research) ergo they open their minds to what the media has to say and they get told to believe that G.W is bad, perpetuating the cycle of media manipulation. Which brings me back to my original question, do you think the majority of anti-bush lobyists(by lobyists I just mean those who are against him) actually dislike his atrocities or do they dislike him because it is the" hip" or cool thing to do?

Creditor charged-off debt, then sent it to a collection agency. Then the debtor was sued by the original creditor but the Complaint cites a period of time when the collection agency had the debt.

It seems there is an enormous opportunity now for the Democrats to really build up steam and followers, but they grind on the same old saw and seem scared to death to set themselves apart from the fear mongering Republicans.

I think one way to improve the functioning of our democratic society may be to increase the number of U.S. Representatives. Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution says, "The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand".

If we use this as a benchmark for the number of Reps we could have; take 300 million (citizens) and divide by 30,000. We could constitutionally have a U.S. House composed of 10,000 Representatives.

Imagine that many congressional districts in the U.S.! There would be Green districts, hippy districts, gay districts, Nascar districts, science districts, business districts, etc.

True democracy could finally be regained.

Wanting to speak to anyone in the SF Bay Area that is considering enlisting. I'd like to ask what beliefs, perceptions, plans and hopes you have from enlisting. This is not a liberal, Bush bashing, troop hating effort. I am trying to find out what people think and believe.
