I mean people on here don't know what type of life style they are living and what type of dog would be best for them. I think those people just really want a dog to use as an acessory and those are just all the wrong reasons to buy a dog. There are just too many dogs out there that were chosen just because they were cute, and then end up in the pound. Why can't people do more research about dog breeds? What do you think?

Hi, well basically my dog...we already know hes dieing (sp?)

Hes had thyroid cancer for a long time now, and it started really effecting him recently.

Hes lost like 50 pounds, hes all boney and skinny now.

And lately hes really been scaring me.

He just lays around and wont move no matter what. You can kinda nudge him, or even show him his favorite ball that he likes to play with....and he still wont move.

Today he wouldnt even eat his can of food i gave him....and he has ALWAYS eaten his canned food, its like his fave, but today, he didnt even touch it

I have accepted the fact that he is dieing, and that he may not have much longer (we may even end up putting him to sleep)

But no one is home today, i got out of school early, and im here all alone, and im super, super worried...i dont want him to die when no one else is around cuz...i dont know what to do to be honest

Do you think hell be ok until my mom gets home?

Why do you care so much about other people? It's no ones business on what dog they buy, or how much they pay for it. We don't sit and tell you where to buy a purebred, and tell you why would you spend that much money on a stupid purebred dog?
I own both purebreds, and a mix breed that is a designer dog. Everyone wants to say go to a shelter and get one, if you don't you are supporting byb's and puppymills, well let me tell you something, I'm sure you people who show your dogs, didn't get them from a shelter, so in reality everyone with a purebred that didn't buy from a shelter is supporting byb's or puppymills, because no one here thinks that any breeder is a good breeder, look at everyone question asked about breeding, and at least one person commetns about them being or supporting these things... If you people are so smart, why are you still supporting them to? What are the only good breeders in the world the ones you use? I'd say there's lots of great breeders out there.

This Pup, who is only 9 months old is hell bent on eating the new House. Bitter apple and all that other junk is not a deterent. Kongs and Bongs and bells and whistles, he has it all. He has a lot Toys, but then i am told that he should not have too many because thats counter productive. He gets brought out in the morning for 25 minutes, and then when i get home for an hour, and then later at night. I cannot be at home all day and its convenient for the folks who have nothign better to do than sit at home all day. He gets lot of attention when I am home. He has been to Puppy School. I have tried it all. nothing is working.

Am not crating my Dog, Whats the point of having a dog if your gona lock it up in a cage like a canary.
Is there anything out there.

Anyone got any idea on how to help me help my dog become less destructive?

My dog wakes everyone up all through the night to go outside when she really doesn't have to go, she will just stand outside for like ten to twenty minutes. Does anyone know of any sleeping pills for dogs? Or any other suggestions? Its a real problem. We haven't gotten sleep in years. The dog is 11.

My puppy is 5 months old. She had her first set of shots on time. When she needed to go back for the second set I could not get them until two weeks later, which she had to have them all over again. She was due for shots again, the same first set of shots today, I could not get her to the vet, now they say when I bring her in on the 17th of Nov. that she will have to get the first set again. I feel I am being railroaded. I had a lab several years ago who did not get his second set of shots on time, but when I did take him in, they gave him all of the shots needed to catch him up, plus his rabie. He turned out to be fine. My puppy was also going to be spayed today along with her shots. Because I could not make the appointment, I am also being charged $25 because I missed the appointment although I contacted them before time. I am better off buying the vaccinations and administer them myself.

I need your thoughts on my situation with my dog. Simon is a 4 year old coon hound/ pomeranian mix. To me he is the cutest thing in the world, he is my little buddy, and my best friend. This past spring he started having seizures, we have had him on phenobarbital, and potasium bormine. The bromine didn't to anything, so we took him off of it. We have increased his phenobarbital intake several times. We are now up to double the amount that we started at. (3 .5 pills x2 daily) For a 50 lb dog that is a lot. The thing is, is that he it hasn't helped. About one day a month he has multiple seizures, I don't know if I should call them cluster seizures, but they will happen for at least one day (right now he is on his second day of seizures) I am hoping they will end soon. The seizures last about a minute. They have been getting worse, yesterday he had three in 30 minutes. It is so hard to watch him go threw this. He is a sweet dog, but is not adoptiable, he has some major behavior problems.
