i am a teenager, still in school, my mom owns a german shepherd, i want a small dog to bring with me to my little brother's soccer games so it also needs to be easy to handle (maybe a lap dog). it also needs to be nice to strangers and other dogs. which breed best fits this description?

if you apodt a dog from a shelter does that mean it's yours or does it stay at the shelter and you just visit it?

Hi my dog has been limping lately, sometimes after we get back from the off leash dog park, he sits down but then has A LOT of difficulty in getting up. This happened before, when he walked he would yelp and fall down. Is there a vet out there, on here that can help me? How much will it cost to get an x-ray?!?!?!

His name is Peanut, and is very picky of what he eats. I'm feeding him Purina Beneful which he's eating alot more than the others, but still is not very much. I've already tried many others but he prefers table scraps which I know is not very healthy and pleasant for his tummy. Please help with any suggestions. He seems to be getting a little thin. Thanx!

My family and I want to adopt a dog from the humane society, but we dont know whats the best kind of dog for us. we live in a smallish- medium-sized -ish home with two stories and a medium-sized backyard. could we get a big dog? or should we get a small dog, or how much does size really matter?

The dog weighs about 90 lbs and he knows I am not a dog person. We play well when we do play but when I correct him when my husband isnt home he becomes very assertive and aggressive. I have picked up a weapon and made him leave the house but I still fear the dog.

My dog's got the runs bad. I think it's a tummy bug because my other dog had it a couple days ago. A friend said he gave his dog pepto bismol but I don't know how safe that is for dogs since meds don't work the same on them. I don't want to wait until tomorrow to see the vet since my dog is miserable tonight. Help!

I've read there are only 3 types of labs. Yellow ,Chocolate, and Black.
My chocolate lab had puppies and there were 7 chocolates and one "yellow"
The thing is the dog is completely snowy white with a pink nose. I thought maybe this meant she was albino but she has bright yellow eyes.
All the pictures in google when i type in yellow lab the dogs are a darker yellow and have a dark black nose.
So are there white labs or is mine some kind of albino?

We suspect a breeder of advertising one dog, and sell another one, and keep on advertising the same dog, over and over. If we ask questions, they cut us off, can't get them to be honest with anyone! What can be done to protect future buyers from them?
They have a website, but change dates of birth of puppies, and tell you they are "Championship Bloodlines" but won't let you trace it.

This is a question for a dog grooming course I'm doing. Describe fully what you would do in this situation? Cut the dog with scissors. Bleeding heavily in testicle or vaginal area? I know their are preasure points for bleeding in certain areas. I dont know which pressure point I would use for bleeding in this area. Does a dog bleed more in this area then lets say, maybe a cut else where on the body.

What have your experiences been with VPI or Pet Best insurance? I'm trying to decide between them and of course they each say they're the best. Pet Best says they pay a straight 80% after the deductible while VPI pays on a schedule. What have you expereinced?
