My kitten has breath so bad that if it could be bottled, would be more deadly than any biohazardous material. Seriously, it's narsty. But it's not like it smells like gingivitis, it just smells like his food. I've started to get him ready for teeth brushing and he loves the taste of the kitty toothpaste. Yesterday I used the little toothbrush along with the paste, but his gums started to bleed a little bit. Is this common in teething (he's 5 mos. old) or could it be some sort of problem? He's always had the bad breath and I've taken him to the vet for his shots and they looked at his teeth and never said a word. And he eats like a horse and is super playful, so he doesn't seem sick or anything...

This morning I woke up not only to the first day of school, but to my little brother's pet parakeet dead at the bottom of its cage. The day before it seemed fine. It was chirping away like always, but I did notice it sitting at the bottom of the cage puffed out. That was the only weird behavior I saw. In its cage it's laying there with its eyes open and it looks like the claws are tucked away under his feathers. It looks like he just fell off the perch to me, but does anyone know what could've happened to him? Any strange bird diseases I should know about? There were barely no warning signs.

Should we wait until he has recovered from loosing his best buddy by the name of Sarah?
Also she was the most Loving Labrador-cockerspaniel mix. She was loveable, cheerable, shared toy's, her home and her food plate with Petee. They both went for long strolls in the park together. He is really sad and so are we.
What's the best solution? Will he get over it?
Also my room mate who belonged the Lab too, thinks on getting rather a smaller dog. Sarah was a medium sized dog. Which bereed goes along with a Puddel? Thanks for all your honest opnions.

I got my cats one afew days ago, and so far they've completly ignored it. They still prefer the armchair. They also have a scratching post, but they mostly play and sleep on it and like furniture and the carpet on the floor better.

I have an indoor, neutered cat who has been scratching the furniture, fixtures and even family members. I am at the end of my rope. I am considering haveing him de-clawed. Is this a cruel thing to do?

Ive had him for 2 months now and when I first got him he would suck my earlobe til he fell asleep! I dont want him to think Im leaving him but they wont let me take him up til next day. What can I do to make it easier for him? Take him a blanket with my smell? a favorite toy? His favorite food? My poor little guy

Got you, this is for the people who think they can get away with putting their goldfish in a bowl.

Goldfish should be placed in a tank minimum size of 10 gallons, NOT in a bowl, as stated on this website: http://www1.epinions.com/content_3185614980

Voice your opinions on this and what you think should be done about this.

I will not choose a best answer, I will let the community vote for one.

I have a 13 and a half year old miniature poodle. I've had her since she was 8 weeks old. Up until last week she has never had an accident in the house ever. Twice last week while we were not home she had accidents. She drinks a lot of water during the night. My father was suggesting that before we go to sleep we should maybe put the water bowl up on the sink for night and then put it back down in the morning so she isn't drinking a lot all night. I feel that is mean to do to the dog but do you think it might help? Maybe she won't have any more accidents?

I have a 10 gallon tank and I want to set up a really good aquarium. I don't want to have to clean it all the time like I did with my beta fish. Should I go with fresh or salt water? What kind of fish should I get? (I want more than one kind). What other stuff do I need to buy?? I just need a lot of information of aquariums, types of fish, etc.

ok i know that michael vick's action were bad he did some horible things like killing dog that didnt perform to their or his expectetions but what i dont understand is why is he getting punished so badly. I dont agree whit the indefenite suspension he did nothing against the nfl. he is getting badly punish as it is whit jail time and them taking his 22 million dlls that the falcons had already paid him. I think he earned that money playing whit the team this past years so he deserves to keep it he should probably be suspended from the nfl some games or a year i least that what i think so let me know what you think about this situation...............

Okay, here's the deal:
My wife and I adopted a cat a few months ago. He's really a great cat, very loving and affectionate. But he's seriously starting to get on my nerves: 1) Hopping up on the bed at night and walking over my head. 2) Meowing at random in the middle of the night. 3) Clawing (despite cut claws) everything in the house except his three clawing trees. 4) Chewing on anything he can get his mouth on, despite bitter sprays and pepper sprays. (And no, he is not teething).

I'm really about to lose my mind. I am a full time college student and work part time along with other, numerous items needing done in the house every week. I cannot function on only 3-4 hours of sleep a night because of our cat meowing, scratching and jumping all over the furniture all night.
Any suggestions...other than making kitty stew tonight?
