His name is Challice, he's 4 at first it was an occasional treat and everything was fine. Soon enough he began stalking the upper cabinet I keep it in, whining and scratching at it. Now he's completely running my life! I try to limit it to every now and then but when I refuse he howls, meows and zips around my small apartment (and me) making my life subject his mercy.

I know some of you are going to say "just ignore him" but it's not that easy after working all day and just wanting to relax in a quiet home. If I wanted to deal with this I would've had snotty, whiney kids. I also don't want to exclusivley use treats as he's already "slightly" overweight (22lbs). I don't necessarily want to ban his drug of choice from the house all together as I love him and want him to have a vice to break up the monotony but he's driving me nuts! Suggestions?

It seems like several times a week I find a dead animal on the floor at the bottom of my bed. There is nothing worse than crawling out of bed and steping on a dead bird. I dont want to make them indoor cats. I know they think they are doing a good thing by bringing me presents but its starting to get really annoying. My question... Does anyone have any tips to break this habit? Thank you for your time.

Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you,
but when you take him for a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?

My cat has been laying in my bed for 2 days now and only comes out to eat and go to the bathroom. This is not like her, shes normally running up and down the hall playing with the dog. I used to feed her can cat food but i stopped for a month and a half. We'll i started feeding her can food again this week. Do you think it's just upsetting her stomach, should i continue feeding it to her. Im getting worried about her.

in an adjacent building in my complex, there are 3 neglected cats. there is the mother and her two kittens. all cats are kept outside only, have no collars, are invested horribly with fleas, and are rarely feed by the owner. the mother and the girl kitty are not spayed. the mother should be going into heat again and will no doubt get pregnant. then the kitten will be going into heat in about 2-4 months and will also become pregnant. i asked my landlords if i could have cats and they said no. i have found out about spaying but for both cats it would be over a hundred dollars i don't have and i know the neighbors won't spend. i can't take the cats either because the neighbors know i want them so if they go missing they'll know i took them. i just want what is best for the cats. what do i do?

I got a lab/terrier(?) mix about 8 months ago, he's about 30 pounds and won't get much bigger. I just recently got a chihuahua/dauchsund (I think) mix, about 10 pounds, and they are basically the same age. The lab is very friendly and curious, and really just wants to play, but with the new dog it's a different story. She growls and tries to nip at him if he gets too close, and he doesn't try to retaliate or anything. The lab is male, the new dog is female, neither are fixed. I will be taking the lab in on Tuesday to take care of him, but I don't see how that will really solve her problem, as it's her that isn't "playing" nice. Any suggestions as to what I can do to make things work out???

Anyone have a Siamese? I have an 11-week old seal point who is just the sweetest little girl. I've never had a Siamese before and I was just wondering how others act. Mine likes to talk A LOT. And she likes being babied.

Today I brought home a new kitten. She was very skiddish when I picked her up and she has been crying ever since. She is now spending her time hiding behind the couch. What can I do to better socialize the cat and ensure she enjoys her new home?

Any breeders out there know about how much it costs to use another dog for stud? We have a resgistered female dog we'd like to breed next year. Thanks.

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a Syrian/golden/teddy bear (whatever you want to call it) hamster. I have a few questions about them so if you have ever owned hamsters or taken care of them your help would be greatly appreciated. :)

1. I know hamsters are nocturnal and most active at night, but what time do they usually wake up, that I could handle/play with them? (I don't want to have to wait until super super late.)
2. I have a 10 gallon tank right now, would this be an okay place to keep a Syrian? Or would I need a larger one, or a cage?
3. Are hamsters very noisy at night? I'm a fairly light sleeper; do you think the noise would be enough to keep me up if I kept the hamster in my bedroom?

Thanks for any answers, also if you have any advice or personal experiences to share that would be awesome also!

One of our dogs have formed some kind of mass under its chin and we observed that it's getting larger. At first, it looks like fluid was trapped under the skin but then it got bigger and formed a mass or cyst. What is the cause of this? What can we do to remove it?

If so, what kind was it. No dog I've ever had really likes it at all. They only eat it out of necessity and that makes me wish there was something better.

P.S. I don't even think about the cheap non-name brands.

I have a male crowntail betta and I notice that from time to time, he rests on the bottom of the tank on the gravel and doesn't move much. When I move the tank to get his attention, he jolts up and starts swimming again.

Does my betta have health problems or is this common? What can I do?

Hello, My dog is pregnant, A while back, I noticed that she had milk. The milk was all white and normal, Now, There is hardly any milk. At times, there is a heavy flow, but at other times, there is barely any. I dont know if this is normal. And another thing. I got her off of Craigslist.org on July 7,2007 and she was already pregnant. Her rib cage is huge but her stomach looks small from the side. Could pups be in her rib cage.
I heard about the temperature drop. She has one that changes. And how on earth can i tell if she has Cervical dilation. That is my biggest issue right now aside from the milk production. If you have any advice besides the normal"Take your dog to the vet" I just would like an answer.
Oh yeah, she will not stay in her own whelping box, instead, she goes ontop of my bed. I dont want her to have pups on my bed. is there any tricks i could do to get her to stay in her whelping box?
