now when my dad was stationed in Cuba at Guantanamo bay i saw first hand what this trade embargo has done to the Cuban people. yes the fence is closed but we still had Cuban workers that would come to the base and work these people aren't as much running from Castro but because they were starving.

now before u say well Castro is evil when has that ever stopped us? we dealt with Saddam for 10 years after the war. we send food to Africa knowing that the war lords are going to take it. hell we knew Stalin was pure evil and yet we dealt with him on politics so why can't we with Cuba in fact Castro is dieing so he is no threat any more he has no backing from any one

On the news today...many opposed to internet killing (not hunting really, but maybe so) of critters.

What, so we spend billions killing people that way!

I am not an avid hunter, but I don't see the harm. Maybe there
is some...maybe it desensitizes people to the process of
killing. As if watching the news didn't. Seems like just some
inconsequential thing that cons and libs can agree to hate
and thus feel good about themselves.

Today while i was in school I had gotten a call during a break. Im in high school, and know that cell phones are not meant to be on. But of course im like any teenager with a phone, and leave it on. I will only text with my phone at times when I can, never sit there and make calls. But today I got a call and I it was my brother calling to tell me that my dad had gotten in a accident. Now this is horrible. My mom wasnt down here and I was stuck in school. Before I could even get all the information a teacher had walked up and saw me on my phone and made me hang up and give it to him. Being in shock this didn't help, cause now I was pissed. I tryed explaning to him the situation, but he still took it and didn't even take time to listen to me. Thanks to him I get my cell phone tooken away and introuble for all of this ona bad day already. One thing that puzzles me is that cell phones are allowed incase of emergency what was that? Im not sure what a emergency i guess... What do you feel?

There's never been so many people alive at the same time before. There's never been so much pollution.

People in many of the countries with the biggest populations (such as India and China) have ongoing shortages of food, clean water, shelter. In the West we're facing shortages of bottled fresh water, building materials, some medications, and so on because we're shipping them ours.

Do you think the situation will get better or worse? What's the best solution?

How did you find out about the rwandan genocide? we were talking about school (i'm a senior), and i was interested in how much you were told about it.
