Getting tonsils taken out on 24th this month. I am 23 and have had strep throat once a year every year since I was a little girl. The doctor explained the procedure to me and said that it will take about 2 weeks to recover and I will be in pain afterwards. I'm really doing this because I have bad sinus problems and I'm so sick of strep throat it gets worse year. It it really worth it?

I am a 26 year old female, non-smoker, 5'-11" and 145 lbs. For the last month I have been having sharp pain in my right shoulder off and on. The pain randomly occurs, it doesn't seem to be associated with anything I am doing or eating, it just comes on randomly and generally lasts more than 24 hours. The pain is intense and deep in my shoulder it also runs down my right arm and but most of the pain is concentrated in my shoulder. Its not a pain you can located by touching my shoulder, it almost feels like its in my veins?
I have never had anything like this before and I at first thought it would go away but it keeps reoccuring. Is this something I should be extremely concerned about. Any information at all would be great. Thank you very much.

She sbviously feels really bad. The doctors need to start and IV, but she's very scared of needles (even more so, since she's in so much pain...). Anytime somebody caomes into the room and says something about it, she almost gets panicky and just holds onto me and cries. How can I calm her down enough to let them do it?

I woke up Tuesday morning with back and chest pain. Whenever I take a deep breathe swallow or burp my back and chest hurts. It kinda feels like the feeling you get of warming from the inside out but instead of warmth it's pain. Right now the pain is only in my back.
The Pharmacist at the store I work says that it sounds like a viral infection on my nerves. I had the shingles a few weeks ago and I had huge rashes on my skin. She told me another form of the shingles is the virus is on the nerves.
What can I do about this pain? I don't have my insurance card yet but this pain is really getting in the way. How long is this pain going to last. Also the pharmaicst told me that this is rare for someone my age. I'm 21. Are they?

I have this in my right hip, but there is only a LOUD clicking/popping of my hip if I bent down or stand up too long. Could it be the alignment of the bone or something else? I've had hip injections which only work for about 4-5 weeks. I am starting to limp and need to sit often on a high cushioned area or else it is tough to get up. Any sugestions bsides a hip replacement, I'm 42.

2 months ago I had really sharp pains underneath my right ribcage. They hurt so badly that it made me puke twice, it about made me blackout and I felt very weak.
Basically everyday I had them from then on. Some solutions I have was to eat and sometimes pain killers helped.
But still, they always came back.
Finally last week I went to the doctor where they then tested my urine, blood and gallbladder. The results came back all positive. They found nothing wrong with me.
So then my doctor suggested that I have some kind of acid build up. And so now for two weeks I am on Prilosec.
My question to you guys is, could it all be acid build-up???

Even Vicodin doesn't help! I packed it in ice and I am wearing a brace. It has been keeping me awake at night. I have an appointment for testing in two weeks, but in the meantime is there anything else I can do for comfort?

So a few weeks ago I got some little spikey things stuck in my toe when I was walking around in flip flops (they're the little spikes from some big sticker type things). Anyways, I thought I got them all out, but today I noticed a little black spot on my toe about where they were, and so I think there's still one there. So my question is, how can I get it out?

Last Fri the 28, I fell in a hole just long enough and wide enough for my foot, it was about 15" deep.My heel went in further than my toes at an angle and I fell forward while my leg and foot stayed in the hole. It's kinda hard to explain properly in this small area. But anyways I had 2 X-rays done on Tue and they showed nothing was wrong, was prescribed Tylenol 3, told to keep it wrapped and iced and to stay off work 2 days.I went back to work Fri but got sent home yesterday early because I started crying from the pain of walking on my leg(work in a care center lots of pushing, walking, lifting,NO sitting)Work told me to go to the ER that they felt something more than a bruised bone must be going on, but when I called my hosp. they told me if the original xrays were negative then nothing is wrong with me.So I asked how am I supposed to work and they said that's your problem.I'm in so much pain but apparently they think I'm making it up, what should I do?I really think it's broke/cracked

I forgot all about belly button lint. Then yesterday I noticed something hard in my belly button, black in color and the shape of the rounded tip of an automatic eye pencil (that's the best way to describe it.) Years ago there was fluffy lint, but I guess I forgot all about it and forgot to clean it out. I'm really scared. Anyone know why it's hard like that? I don't have the $25.00 to go to the doctor just yet, but I will eventually. I'm sick with worry. I couldn't find any answers on the Internet, just that if it's lint it should be fluffy. Mine is very hard. Any answers would be welcome. I'm really scared.
