Hi guys - Ive suffered from IBS for about 7 / 8 years now (diagnosed by the doctor as a wheat allergy) and in the last 2 years or so have become reliant on Immodium to keep the attacks at bay. The doctor has told me to alternate the makes of tablets, so swapping between Colofac and Buscopan to relieve symptoms and this has helped a bit but I now feel like Im too scared to stop taking the Immodium (every other day) in case I have an attack! (I dont get the constipation side, I get the other - nasty!) Has anyone else suffered with this sort of problem and do you have any suggestions how to feel better? The doc just wants to keep me on various pills, but I have the feeling my healths pretty bad and want to sort it out as naturally as poss. Any suggestions are much appreciated! Many thanks, Bex xx

1/. My liver count is 2000 when it should be 50 from binge drinking which I don't do anymore. Does having an epeleptic fit for about 2 minutes give you brain damage or will it repair.

2/. Will my liver go back to normal if I dont drink anymore and will my brain not feel so vague.

3/. How long should I stay off the alcohol for or should I never drink it again.

4/. Does binge drinking give you permanent brain damage if I have vitamin B (Thimine) every day. Thankyou.

On Dec16, I had a little bout w/ weird bowel movements. It looked bloody & mucousy, but since then have returned to normal, somewhat. The other night the mucousy part came back again, so I went to ER, where they did a digital exam, came back neg for blood, so they gave me a stool kit to collect the mucousy stools to test them. Most of the time I have decent moving bowels, I have had issues with constipation in my past. I have horrid hemmrhoids from giving birth 5 months ago. But I'm tired of all the what if's & wondering whats wrong. What type of test should I discuss with my doctor? I'm a big cancer-fearing nut so I'm fearing the worst (colorectal cancer), but I'm leaving the door open b/c I know there are other things that could be wrong. My biggest wonder is why sometimes I have bile (yellow) in my stools? What would you suggest I get done to have an overall healthy checkup? I'm also 6 wks pregnant. What do you think this is? Any help is appreciated!

A while ago I found I had streaks of blood in my stool, but this was at a time I was socialising quite a lot and cleared up when I took Milk Thistle. This morning I noticed a large dark red clot that wasn't surrounded by any other blood and there hasn't been any other blood since. Is this normal?

I know, i know its terrible to stop taking medicaton of any sort so suddenly, a bad decision, but the deed is done.. But im not sure what kind of symptoms i should be feeling right now. I feel differently, i guess....but that could just be me knowing that im not on meds and thus noticing every little thing. Basically im just very confused...should i start them up again? what should i feel now? has anyone done this?

Serious answers, please, folks. I want to know more about why this might happen. What food might be missing in the diet? What might have caused this, etc? The doctor says it's a gastric ulcer, but my mom doesn't feel anything like an ulcer and she has doubts. According to the lab results, they found the bacteria h.pylori in her blood. Has anyone had this problem? She already read in the internet that it might be caused by poor hygiene, but she's a very clean person! Is there some other way she could have gotten this? Is there some way to deal with the symptoms she's experiencing (having a hard time defecating)?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

i haven't ate anything the whole day because i've felt full like theres a huge animal in my belly...i usually always eat every two hours...not to mention i've been puking up black stuff up all night and shivering even though i have plenty of clothes on and wrapped in blankets...what is wrong with me?

I recently got my glasses and I have myopia (near sightedness). My power is really small just about -0.25 and the doctor suggested me to wear glasses whenever I copy notes from board in class. He said it because I couldnt read (focus) things on the board immediately after looking at my notebook . Myopia runs in the family (except my mom who is far-sighted). The doc told me that the power will incease but I dont want it to because wearing glasses irritates my nose. Any suggestions will be welcomed. (please dont tell extreme procedures like lasik and stuff)

I am 31 yrs old and from some months until now I have been feeling extremely tired, besides that I wake up with terrible muscle and joint pains. I went to see if my thyroid was ok and my blood and urine tests came out a bit weird but nothing alarming so they retest my blood and everything came out fine. I kept feeling tired, my right hand fingers (2 of them) started to swell and get hot from one day to another my neck started hurting a lot and my hair started to fall out. Went to see the doctor this time a new one, he sent me for a MRI and blood test for Rheumatoid factor, sedimentation rate, ANA, HIV, hormones, etc. Everything came out fine except my ANA test which came out + with and 80% speckled and my MRI showed degenerative changes in my C6-C7. He wants to give me antimalarial medicine but I don't want to take it before I know what I have, has anybody gone throu something similar and know what it is? He says it could be arthritis, but does arthritis give you all this symptoms?

A couple of weeks ago I met a man, 71 years old, who had cancer. He was about to have surgery that next morning. He told me that up until just a few months ago, I guess after he had been diagnosed with cancer, he had never taken any prescription medication whatsoever.

I never really thought of it, but I just took it for granted everybody, even the healthiest of us took prescription meds. Does this make sense to you?

Can someone tell me if pain in the legs is arthritist.I am 28 and I had this problem for 5-6 years but use to be only when it rains.Now that is cold my legs are hurting me all the time is even hard to walk.Any advise how to manage the pain will be apriciated as well.Thank you in advance
