Okay I may sound like I had a bad drug trip but I don't do drugs. Last night I laid down to go to sleep and as soon as I closed my eyes I was drifting to sleep in a semi concious state. I all of a sudden hear feed back in my ears like when static is on the TV. Only thing is everything was off. no tv raido nothing. I then felt my heart began to race I was trying to wake up and I finally forced my self to wake up. I then closed my eyes and it happened again. I was a little freaked out. so I laid there until i finally fell asleep. I know it was not something I watched because I didn't turn on the Tv or he raido when I came home I was too busy cleaning up the house. I know It sounds crazy but I wanted to see if someone every had this experience or something like it. Only serious response please!
Thank you!

...compared to the evolution of other medical knowledge and treatments, I find it crude and barbaric in the year 2007. We all know it's efficacy rates. When will a truly effective resuscitaton technique be developed? ** I think we need to place coded patients in some kind of 'bellows' device which will completely collapse heart and vessels and re-open with an effective circulation.

I break out into hives whenever the weather gets cold and the temperatures start to drop. At first, I would get welts on my elbows, backof my hands, and my feet. But last night, I found that it's spreading to my knees and just today I saw they got to my legs too. It's a very itchy feeling I get at first and then I start scratching. Then the welts appear and you can see after they go down where the welts were. Sometimes welts don't appear at all. It's just red spots that look like mosquito bites when they aren't.

This is another question too the one I posted last week, thanks to the people that answered. My 21 year old daughter is going for a TEE test in early Nov. They have already detected a little hardening of her aeortic artery. With this test what exactly are they looking for and with the hardening of the artery can this be treated with medicine. I tried to talk to her doctor but I couldnt understand what she was saying. Also has anyone had this test and what did they find and how was it treated afterwards. I would appreciate any advice from anyone who has been through this. Thanks!!!!

The rash doesn't have raised edges, and it isn't itchy. It is a perfect circle though. I'm in college and I'm living in a dorm, so I'm around a lot of germs. It looks like ringworm, it just doesn't have the same symptoms.

I had laparascopic surgery done on September 18th, 2007 to repair a large incisional hernia. I also had a condition called Diastasis Recti between my breast bone and my naval. My surgeon felt both the diastasis recti and the incisional hernia needed to be covered in mesh, as he said once the incisional hernia was repaired, the diastasis recti would become the weakest link, and would wind up causes me problems. However, I had no heartburn problems prior to surgery, and now I cannot sleep unless I am sleeping practically sitting upright. "Mylanta" gives me some relief while I am trying to sleep; but I want to know: Has anyone had this problem after a surgery such as this? WHEN WILL THIS SLEEP DEPRIVATING HEARTBURN GO AWAY??

Last year when my daughter was ten months old she received her first dose of the flu shot (a series of 2). Roughly a week or two later after getting the flu shot, she developed a high fever and the doctors concluded she had neutropenia. Her neutrophil levels were so low that she was hospitilized for a couple of days. It took five months for her count to return to a normal level. She has not had an episode since. They think it was autoimmune. Her doctor wants to give her a flu shot again and I have declined. Am I putting my daughter at a higher risk by not getting it. I am also leary about getting the chicken pox immunization. Are there any doctors or nurses out there that can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Many of the current "killers" like cancer and heart disease are the products of longer lifespans, but with hygience and nutrition we've beat out a lot of diseases. In a crisis (a lack of services like hurricane Katrina, or other breakdown) what diseases would be the biggest threat? What diseases are prevalent, but currently well managed?
Starting to ramble... any info appreciated!

Recently I found out I have herpes. I believe I've had it for at least a year because over the past year my boyfriend sometimes gets soars on his genitals after intercourse, not blisters or anything, but definite red soars (we always thought this was due to bacteria infections I've had in the past.. never assumed it was herpes) I've had tiny "cuts" before but never payed noticed, but right now I do have some and they seem more painful than ever. After my partner & I tried to have sex this morning for the first time in weeks and we were both in a lot of pain Also I just noticed that my discharge is bloody-brown and also brown blood on my underwear....
IS THIS ALL BECAUSE OF HERPES, OR SOMETHING MORE? WHY DOES IT SEEM TO BE SO INTENSE RIGHT NOW BUT NEVER HAS BEEN BEFORE?

Sick since he was
just a baby
Colicky and
screamin’ out

Having troubles
entering this world
Mama seizured,
passing out

Juvenile Arthritis hit
just after he hit six
All the while, a broken heart
lay silent in the mix

And his road’s been paved and patched my friends
but, it’s far from being smooth
Eleven years have come and gone
and there’s still some pits and grooves.....(to be continued)
