Hey all,

I had a STUPID STUPID unprotected drunken encounter 3 nights ago with a 40 year old female who I had know for a while. It was unprotected vaginal sex, she claim to have had a pap less then 8 months ago along with an HIV test all of which were normal !!

I am worried sick and feel like a complete idiot for doing what I did considering I have practiced safe sex for over 20 years !!

Question, what are the chances that I have contracted HIV and do I need to go get tested ? If so, how soon can I test for accurate results ?

Is it possible to have an intolerance to cheese, but not to milk? I know it sounds like a strange question as cheese is made form milk.
I drink a small amount of milk in my tea, but don't generally eat much cheese.
I've had headaches for years, and cut out caffeine etc, but recently I've noticed that I have headaches the next day after eating cheese....
Could it be connected?
Thanks everyone :-)

I have high blood pressure. In the beginning, my readings at home and at the doctor's office were always high. 140s over 90s for example. My doctor put me on Enalapril 10mg. After a few weeks, my recorderings at home were perfect. Under 120/80 consistently. However, every time I go to check up with my doctor my readings are high again!

Does my blood pressure monitor at home just suck or and the one at the office better and more accurate?

My readings at home were always high and now after medication they are low. And then high every time I go to my doctor. He probably thinks I'm lying to him when I say my readings are good at home.

What do you think?

My boyfriend had meningitis for about three months at the beginning of this year... I didn't really know him then.
But I've heard that, even after a person gets past having meningitis, they still carry it with them, always.
Is this true?

Once you've had c-diff, are there any after-effects from it 2-3 mos later? (e.g. lots of gas, cramping once in a while, etc.) The c- -diff was treated twice since the first antibiotics didn't work, and it resurfaced 5 days after the first 10-day course of antibiotics. Hasn't resurfaced since the second 10-day course. Any tests that should be done? Any experiences out there?

I would like to hear from anyone who has personal experience with Xopenex inhalers - do you find there are fewer side-effects than with albuterol/salbutamol (Ventolin, etc.)? Does anyone know if/when the inhaler will arrive in the UK?

I make Sweet tea. I use two cups of sugar to two gallons of water. I want to share this with my friend but he is diabetic and we can not determine the amount of insulin he has to take based off this. is there a link or does anyone know how much he should take. I mean he is not drinking the entire two cups so how do you figure this out.

Walking since 9 mos. old, I noticed one day his walking was unstable, as if he just started walking 2 mos. ago. 2 days later, after talking to the dr., his head was continuously shaking and eyes rapidly & repeatedly moving back & forth. On the way to the ER, he began foaming at the mouth and squeezing his eyes shut. CT scans, urinalysis & blood test detected nothing abnormal. Especially falling asleep his body jumps repeatedly & his walking is still unstable.
He has never talked well, yet that is. At about 6 mos. he fell to the concrete reaching for me before his sister was able to strap him into his carseat.(don't judge there's more to that story). Anyway, at that time the ER dr. said he was fine. When he walks now it's as a drunkard, moving side-to-side, back and forth.

Please, I'm looking for factual, medical answers and medical direction. No foolishness please.
