I work at a restaurant, in the back with 4 ovens that make it extremely hot in the room sometimes it can get to over 100 degrees. I have to stand for hours and it is mandatory to wear pants. This makes me extremely sweaty and uncomfortable in my private areas. When I get home at the end of the night I'm very sore. I've tried different underwear and other things but nothing has helped me feel better. I know this may sound weird but would wearing a diaper, such as goodnites help? Would they help absorb the sweat and keep me dry, is it worth a try?

Thanks

My boyfriend seems to love the south and has two tattoos that include the confedrate flag in them. I think he hates blacks, but he wont tell me what they have done to hurt him? I think something tragic has happened...When I try to talk to him about why, he gets a very distant look in his face..., we don't live in the south and I love him dearly but this part of him is about the only thing that concerns me. Any suggestions on getting what's bugging him about these people out of him. He told me once "I don't like it when they think they are better than me..." Im not sure what exactly else he said but it almost dismissed my concerns about it until I read that question with the Aussie, and the answerers who were really angry...P.S Im orginally from Texas and love the south too but I have black friends, and I want him to be ok with that, and to not mind meeting them if someday I have one that is a true true friend.

I need to know how you felt, if you became addicted, if you'd use it again if necessary. What were your experiences? Did it work? Was it worth it??

When I'm at work, I find that I have some days where I seem to have super hearing abilities (and I'm hearing impaired!) and can hear keyboards clacking away, papers ripping, staplers clicking, and it just really gets on my last nerve. My sense of smell is heightened in unpleasant scents. What is this? Does anyone go through something similar, and how do you handle it?

So every time when I hear someone sing live, I get goosebumps. It works every single time. For example, when I attend a concert, they sing live and the hair on my arm stands up. Or another time would be when I heard Lindsay Lohan's "Confessions of a Broken Heart". When I first heard thay song, I got goosebumps, but I had no idea why because I thought it was just a music video on tv. But later I found out that she recorded the song in her room, there was no editing to the song so it was basically really raw, live music. Why do I get this? Is this normal or is it cuz I'm just weird?

The doctors do not have a clue what this is and have not suggested it could be this, but I cannot think of anything else. Has anyone else had this? the pain is on my right hand side, just below my ribs and somewhat central.

I went to the ER last night for abdomen pain. After a CT scan they found 2 hypodense spots on my liver. Although they were probably unrelated to the abdomen pain it was a definite concern for the ER doctor. But I don't know what it means. She said to talk to my doctor about it.

I work in a psychiatric research hospital that deals with in and out patients (where a Mantoux test is mandatory for all employees and volunteers). Just wondering if anyone else has had a positive result of the test and what the procedures were following that (or if there are any nurses here who know that the deal is!). I know I'll have to go on a course of antibiotics, but will they allow me to continue working during those months?
(As of now they say it's either a positive reaction or an allergic reaction...I'm going in for my second reading tomorrow...and it looks the same as the first: red and itchy with a bump! I have no overt symptoms of TB.)

I am 17. I don't like working out, because I feel self conscious. I feel self conscious anyways because I am really skinny, and I want to gain some weight, but I want to do it safely. I have tried eating lots of food, but my metabolism is so fast, it doesn't help. I have been told to drink protein shakes and just do like pushups, and crunches and stuff. Does that actually work? My problem with that is that I don't have the willpower to keep doing it once I start. Any safe ideas would be helpful.

Took my 5 year old boy to a pediatrician for cough variant asthma as he had been on a lot of steroids last winter for his asthma. He has no symptoms during the summer months but from september to april he gets monthly bouts of coughing which results in a course of steroids. The pediatrician put him on seretide preventor and a singulair tablet at night two weeks ago. Just wondering had anyone been put on similiar medication and what were the results. Any success?
