Family - June 2006

I am planning a 40th anniversary party for my in-laws. They never had an actual wedding, so I am going to have them say some vows and it will be a formal event. It is not a surprise. I was just wondering if there was any good websites to go under. I was looking under a search engine but couldn't find anything. Is the 40th always red? (that is fine just curious) I really need help. I live in a small town in VA - Staunton but I really need any great suggestions and websites. Thanks.

I'm 17 & live with my dad & 2 younger siblings. My dad works 2 jobs & is stressed out most of the time & he always takes it out on me...I mean, nothing I do is right for him...I get straight A's in school, I work, I do volunteer work, I never go anywhere (except to school & work), I do my house chores, I was accepted to my first choice college (& I got a great financial aid package & lots of scholarships) etc. but he's still not happy & picks on everything I do...It never really bothered me before, but it's starting to now. Sometimes he makes me feel like my efforts are totally worthless. It's really frustrating when he comes home and complains about the stuff I didn't do, instead of being happy with what I did...

Sometimes I don't even feel like coming home from school or work because I already know that I'm going to be criticized for God knows what...

Can you please tell me how to "make him stop"???? :(

I need everyone out there to tell me if I am being a horrible son or losing my mind.

I have a friend's wedding to go to 4:00PM on Sunday which happens to fall on Father's Day. I call my parents on Monday to see if we can get together on Friday or Saturday to celebrate Father's Day with a lunch or dinner. But to my parents, unless you are celebrating on the EXACT day (and not even LUNCH, it has to be DINNER) it doesn't count. Now I am getting a huge guilt trip from them (which I instead of feeling badly, feel pissed off), but I am still going to my friend's wedding.

Please tell me your thoughts, let me know if I am being an A$$HOLE, give me your honest opinion, because I think my parents are being crazy.

Now I am pretty sure that my daughter is having a boy problem but im not realy sure how to approach this. I dont want to sound like a bad parent or anything but i just want to make sure. Would the best thing for me to do is just give her some time and see how this turns out, like if it gets worse? She knows that i am there for her when she needs me.....

i am not allowed in the room while she is on the computer and when i do come in, the computers history is cleared and her bed sheets are a mess everywhere........she is so nice, she is a cheerleader, in a beta club and is president of her high schools student council. now i never want to go home to visit becuz my bed is in her room and half the time i cant go in there.......i just cant figure out what is wrong. she is not a bad kid so i cant figure it out

he's so lazy..he's doing nothing to the family just sitting on the couch watching tv..even my mom pays for his clothes and everything...im not working yet so everything in the house is basically done by my mom, eg: like paying all the bills,buy the groceries etc...

but daycare coast too much, 4 kids, 2yr,6yr,7yr,10yr. my man makes alot of money, it would take me 6hours of work to make what he dose in an hour. but I miss work retail, I love taking care of the house and the kids, but I want to work two days a week in retail. Not for the money just something for me, is that wrong for me to want, my man is about to work two jobs and then I will be with the children all day long and have no chance for a part time job. He keeps saying I need hobbies and start writting my book my dream job, but with so much time on my hands when the kids are at school or other places I can't think about me. to busy with what's for dinner and what needs done. What to do? I have not been able to sit down and writte or do much of what I like to do.

I want to take Martial Arts lessons, but my parents don't want me doing anything combative because they think I'll only use it to be a bully towards my enemies (Other then that they'd gladly let me do something social). My boyfriend and I have been together 4 years, we have always had a great relationship I couldnt ask for anyone better. The first 2 yrs of our relationship we had an amazing sex life 2-3 times aday we would do it anywhere and everywhere, We were just very attracted to each other. The attraction is still there on both parts, but it seems the sex is slowly fading out of our relationship, He owns his own buisness so he works alot and when he gets home he wants it but is so tired he falls asleep,I want it also but I end up falling asleep due toexhaustion from work school and kids, what can we do???
