Family - June 2006

Someone one use to mention to me, life is all about being patient. Which I agree but how can I be patient when its a last moment kind of thing. I desperately need my families help in life... not financially but emotionally I needed them to be there for me. I asked them, even talked out my problem but they never seem to care. I’m out living alone, trying to finish school and working hard…They never even touch my grade cards or remember my birthdays….what can I do to improve the support from my families?

My sister got pregnant right before he went to jail. He was there for almost two years. He finally came out one month ago. She recently heard a message on his phone from another female. He's basically cheating on her. Not only that but when they are together in the street he turns his head when he sees a female. I personally think he's an ungrateful bastard. another thing... how can she get him out cause he doesn't want to leave. what should she do??

I have had to learn in life that I am not going to like everyone and in all fainess not everyone is going to like me.

One of my close relatives is getting married and I want her to enjoy this season in her life. I am going to be the matron of honor.

However the mother is stressing out over the shower that we are giving and being a pain to deal with. When she calls me everything is about the shower this and the shower that and who is coming and there is no room for other discussion.

The LAST thing I would ever want to do is yell at her, be mean to her, be sharp with her, tell her off, be curt or rude to her, because she is senstive.

But in all fairness I know to respect my elders which I do, but this person is really working my nerves, she constantly needs things repeated after I tell her over and over slowly and clearly.

Any GODLY suggestions?

The person I am referring to is my sister getting married and the person I am having a time with is my mom.

I'm 21 and a college student and have been living away from home for three years now. My parents pay forcollege which is very appreciated but they still try to control my every move from choosing a major to boyfriends and even pets. I recently had to take my dog back to the shelter because they would have cut me off if I hadn't. How do I tell me parents to back off without making them mad?

He has every tool imaginable. I bought him a fire pit for his birthday a week ago, with skewers to roast marshmallows to go along with it. He likes gadgets, but this isn't my forte (like metal detectors and binoculars and compasses).
