my mom wants a divorce from my dad since he did something that he had to for work but she thinks he could have done it at another time since he needed to go to a meeting that is going to affect how we are going to be able to sell our house. my dad really doesn't want a divorce, but my mom has already gone to get boxes. this happened earlier, about four hours ago. i know my mom still loves him. what happened?? they were perfectly happy last night!! whats going to happen? sure, my moms got a tendency to do things she later regrets since she usually overreacts at first. but does she really mean it? earlier she said she still had to think about it.

I have been going out with my girlfriend for 7 months and have been through alot but she is now becoming extremely messy. I thought i might be some depression but i continues even when she is feeling happy. I clean her house and she hardly helps me. she rarely changes the kitty litter out and all of this eats my lunch. When I ask her about it or get upset about it she states that it is her house and i shouldnt try to change her but love her how she is. I dont want to change who she is just how she keeps house. what do i do?

My dad has been married a really long time and had an affair with my mom. The end result was me. He knows about me and choose to see me about once every 2 years. I am now a mother myself and would like my sons to know their grandfather. I just don't know if it would "right" to ask him into my life. I have missed out on having a father for 24 years and I feel like its time he made up for that. I don't want to ruin his family, but I don't want ot be left out anymore. He has 2 other dauthers outside his marriage and they seem fine that he is only there when it suits him. His wife has no idea about any of us. I just want to be able to see him again. He hasn't seen me in 5 years so has no idea that I am married and have kids now. Or that I live in Italy now. Last he talked to me was in 2001 when I went into the military. he loves me I know but I don't know if I should contact him and how do I go about doing that? I don't want his family to think I am someone he is cheating with i need help!

I was married to this guy for 7 years. for the last 9 months of the relationship i slept on the couch because he insisted that he couldn't perform sexually with me unless porn was playing. then i decided to do something with my life and went back to school. while I was there he accused me of sleeping with someone else and then sexually assulted me. a few days later i found out he was sleeping with my 16 year old sister. now 4 years later we are seperated pending the divorce finalization and I have moved on. since he found out that i had a new boyfriend he has been trying to hug me and touch me when he comes to pick up my kids. I dont like this and have reported to CPS that i dont like the way he acts towards my kids and today he tried to kiss me in front of my new boyfriend. i told him i wanted him to leave and he did but he still continues to treat me like i'm his girlfriend and we have had a fight. i told him if he tries to kiss me again i would file charges but he didn't care...

Ok. So first off I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to help me make decisions during this really confusing time. This will probably be my last post about this. Long story short, my gf of 2 years left me a month and a half ago. We were madly in love, but she said that this was the wrong time for us, and that she wasnt ready to settle down. Im 28 she's 26. Her career demands focus and drive, along with travel and networking. My only flaw is that my confidence is lacking. And I understand that is the most unattractive thing a man can show a woman. Im working on it, have been. Up until about 2 weeks ago, she was sending me occasional messages, phone calls etc that asked how I was doing and always ended with I love you. Since then, zero contact, and I heard she was hanging out with someone way more successful than me. I want to keep fighting, and Im working on myself. Is it best to just leave her alone completely and work on me, or pursue her? What do the ladies think? Thanks

I'm sure you have a pet peeve against your spouse, what's yours. Mine is when my fiance comes home, he takes his clothes off and throws it in the hamper, regardless that he wore it for only a few minutes, and its considered dirty to him. Whice tends to piss me off, because I would have to do the laundry daily each day. Well, what's yours?

the issue I am having is I make 10-15 grand more than he does. He will constantly talk about work, and he volunteers for extra work, and there is no way they will give him a higher position soon. It’s been a battle with us ever since we got together. We both work for the same company, and I always feel like the company is always going to come before me. He is determined to move up, which I really don't think will happen. He decided to take on an overnight shift for two months, and of course this is killing things. I have lost my sex drive, having more panic and depression that I have had in months. I also took a week of leave to try to fix things. He didn’t take any time off at all. I do most of the cleaning and yardwork on my own. I feel really alone, and at this point I am considering a divorce. I am trying to schedule to see a counselor, just wish he would take the initiative to do it first. When he tries to get close to me, I don't want to be near. What can I do? :(

I have two sides of my family that don't get along. My mom's side - who I've known my entire life and consider my family and my father's side - who I met two years ago.

I'm planning on getting married - but only having a reception, since I'm not religious.

Should I have two different wedding receptions? Or just one and not invite my father's side?

I can not have both families at one reception for many reasons. Mostlly to protect my mom's family and my sister. My sister doesn't want to meet or know our father's family or our father. I respect her decision and will never put her or my mom's family in an uncomfortable situation.

Any suggestions? That does not involve both families at one place?

So i asked this guy to my semi formal. We're not girlfriend/boyfriend but we hang out everyday and have hooked up multiple times (everything but sex). He's made it very clear that edventually he'd like to date me but has never talked about actually taking that step. Anyway, He said he would go with me. But then we ended up getting in a huge argument. While we were fighting i asked him if i needed to take someone else to my semi formal. he said he "didn't know." i took that as a yes and asked someone else. Then we ended up forgiving each other. I let him know that i still couldn't take him to semi formal because the other guy already said yes. Well the other guy ended up backing out so I asked the guy i like again and he said he couldn't. he's made plans to go to VA Tech.

Everyone was saying I have a right to be mad at him but then again he's not my boyfriend so I don't feel llike i can be mad at him. What do you think?

i mean...when you're seeing a girl or guy...do you see that some of them are below your own level and some are higher than yours? ... have you ever dated someone who is exactly on your own level? cus i don't think i have...
it's either they're higher (and i feel insecure...but would wish for a more meaningful relationship) or lower (that i'd wish i never have to go out with them again or just remain friends with them)

I'm a mom of one and I live in a area were job's are few and they don't pay well. Gas prices are crazy $3.15. Day care is expensive. I pay more to go to work then what I pay for bills sad huh and I don't want to go to Department of Human services cause there so hard to get any help from you have to be on the streets or have 5 kids to acept you and well I just don't want to go to that. So what do I do just deal with it I think it's too bad that they don't help out Mother's that want to work and do they just make it harder on us to get by. If anyone has any ideas on what I could do let me know. Thanks

Okay. Winter Ball is on Dec. 14, two weeks from now, and my friend and I REALLY want to go with dates! This is our first highschool dance (we're freshman) and so we don't really know how this whole thing works... I have two guys in mind that I might want to go with but i'm not really close to either of them(although they do seem to show a bit of interest).
HELP! P.S. they're both older.
