I just re-entered the dating world after 20 years of marriage and some things are a little weird for me. I am getting used to the fact that most guys in their 40's and 50's have a lot of exes that they may still have in their lives as friends, etc. But the thing that is curious is the woman friends that they have that are usually the wives of their friends. One guy actually read me a note which started off "To my dearest Jim" and there was a lot of affectionate talk. Lately, my new boyfriend received a card from his friend Debbie, who addressed it to Angel Boy and said how she missed her "Bobby baby". Is this over the top or just friends showing that they care. Also, the new guy told me that another friends wife was so hot that he would "jump her" if she wasn't his friends wife? I want to either loosen up or be more selective with the men I date??

This guy flirted several times, but everytime I tried to get close he backed off. Wouldn't make any eye contact for like a week. But then would just stare in my eyes sometimes when handing me something. Now after time has gone by he's just acting normal. But every now and then when he enters the room he'll look at me. But still sometimes not. Today I was even more fixed up then usual. He did look at me once. But then that was it. Do you honestly think this guy found me somewhat attractive. I mean I've seen him looking at others more then me. But from hearing what I've told you from say a scale from 1-10 what do you think he might give me? Honest opinions I can take it?

..i dated this guy for a month and i found him messaging some other girl calling her pretty and hott and taht he wished that he could date her but he has a gf so he cant. and i got realy mad at him for doing that and he still kept doing it until i msged that girl. and for some reason, someone told him that i have another boyfriend, Which i dont, so i told him that and he believed that i didnt, but when i broke up with him he kept shoving it to my face and he shouted at me not to talk to him again. my father in law thinks he knows everything. for instance my husband and i (yes i'm female. under my husbands name) were listening to the song by musical youth. automatically he saw them on tv and new them well. he is a country music nut. he always contradics (spelling) everything anyone say's. he has to always be right. i can't stand it. he's a doctor, a lawyer, abar tender, roofer, brick layer, etc. and sits on his but what do i say. i don't want to be mean but i can't take it any longer.

Now, I am respecting her decision, and we havent spoken about it for 3 weeks. The last thing I want to do is smother her, so I am giving her every inch of space she needs. But 3 months ago, she really really seemed to like me, than when she found out I liked her she backed off. And now she's like that with other guys. But once we talked about it, she seems more comfortable talking to me, than she did before. Her and her mom are really really close, and her mom said she is just REALLY REALLY scared. Her mom wants me to date her daughter, she told me that. So I know I am good with ther parents, what should I do??
