I just watched Almost Famous for the first time and it really had an impact on me. I was just great. Did anyone else feel the same after watching it?

This is what I remember: It was this movie about futuristic superman warriors that were under the command of this general. The training area was black with red lights, and they were giving a tour to somebody. Anyway, they had a bunch of the guys fight up on these ropes, and one guy got his eye plucked out. Anyway, the general started yelling at him and telling him that since he lost his depth perception, he wasn't good for anything but cannon fodder. Then he made one of the fighters run a really long distance. That's all I remember. Please help!! :)

in the movie 'poetic justice', theres a part where janet jackson is eating pop corn and listening to an album. i think its a stevie wonder song, but it goes like:

i never dreamed you'd leave in summer...
