It appears as if over the last 5 years, the popular movies are movies that
1. are remakes of movies from years ago
2. adaptation of a book.
3. or a sequel of a previously popular movie.


What ever happened to the art of movie making which starts with the screen writer?

Do we no longer have anybody that has an imagination?

It is about a guy (business man in a suit and tie) who looses it one day. He has a very bad day: I think he looses his job and several other negative things happen. It is very hot out and traffic is bad. He gets a gun (I don't know if he already had it or what), climbs up a hill, and starts thinking about killing people. I think it is either set in the 70's or actually made in the 70's. Thanks in advance

There used to be this website that was run by two girls who had been obsessed with Titanic and on it was this list of obsession that were the funniest I have seen to date but I cant seem to find it anymore and I don’t remember what it was called. Apparently the plot involves saying something three times and some black man comes and kills you. I am assuming that it is a horror film.

for me....easy again. Steven Ericksson's 'The malazan book of the fallen'. he is still writing the series so get an awesome cast and put out a film every year for the next 10 years.If not this series, than the 'fionavar tapestry' series rocks. No one gets into his characters heads like Ericksson and his fantasy world are fully realized through cultural identity and physical presence. Plus, i have to see a K'chain ch'elle on the live screne. Let Peter Jackson direct and give 'the elf dude from rings' star in it. The guy is wicked with a bow.
