I write a sentence "There will be an election in a week"(a week later), but I am not certain whether it's grammatically correct or not.
Is this sentence grammatically correct?(There will be an election in a week) If not, how can I correct this sentence?

Beside, when I check "election in a week" by google, I find there are many pages which have "election in a week's time",
but I don't understand what's the meaning of "election in a week's time".
What is the grammatical distinction between "in a week" and "in a week's time"?

'good friend', 'close friend' 'great friend' 'best friend' 'true friend'
English has quite a few adjectives for friends. Please explain each word to be distinct. Are they all same?
As my point of view, 'good friend' has the lightest meaning as you describe friendship. no?

I am english speaking US and because I have difficulty with other languages I usually make my own pronounciation of words that are difficult to me. My european relatives laugh when I use the words. An example would be the names of characters in War & Peace, I make an sound that helps me remember the person through out the book.

Ok, say...you saw an add in the paper..where they were hiring genies..and you applied..and they gave you the job...and stuffed you in a lamp...

400 years down the road, someone releases you..and you offer him his wishes...and he says..

"I wish you wouldn't grant this wish."

What would you do? O.O
