I asked a question and really could not be arsed to spell in the usual way since it was after 12 midnight, instead i used 'txt language' eg, nite for night, gr8 for great and all i got was a load of abuse calling me uneducated. they made themselves look stupid though because they couldnt even use basic grammer! I just want to know if any one agrees that its ok to use 'txt' as long as it is clear what it means?

Lately it seems that in advertisements, websites, business and casual communications, people use 'your' instead of 'you are.' I have seen sentences like this: 'In one easy step your set to go.' Instead of "you're set to go." Not that everyone uses perfect grammar all of the time, but some errors are glaring and are becoming commonplace. I guess it's just a sign of the times.

For me, when someone says "an' I took an..." or "I'm gonna take and...". It's like fingernails scraping a blackboard to hear that. What about you?
