So, I moved out of my parents' house summer of 2005. I haven't recieved any financial support from either of them, nor have I been given the rest of my possessions. I'm wondering if I'm eligble to take my own parents for child support and back pay.

I am going to college full time...there are things that I would like to do with in my college and I live almost an hour away from the campus..So it takes me two hours out of the day to get there. I really do not want to work right now..I am currently working and dislike my job, it is getting in the way of my studies. My parent does not want to help me with the parent plus loan, and my boyfriend can not help support me (which I do not expect him too). Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to support myself without having to get a job?

Thanks

I just completed my FAFSA and the EFC came out at '81516' .. is this meant to be $81,516.00 or $815.16? And is this per semester or for my whole time in college?

Also - there is no way my EFC should have come out so high (if it is $81,516.00) - so what do you do if you think this is mistake?

I am a junior in high school and I was born deaf. I currently am enrolled in three AP classes of English, US History, and Biology along with Pre-Calculus and Competitive Speech and Debate. I have been involved in three clubs, high school softball the entire time, competitive softball and still keep up a 3.7 grade point average.

I am an aspiring journalist and wish to go to an University of California or an California State University after I graduate. Ever since my freshman year colleges have been chasing after me, and I already have narrowed it to a good list of five.

What worries me though is how college will get paid. My parents quit their jobs for six months just so we could get more family time, remodel the house, et cetera so therefore I will have to figure out how to get it paid.

Other than the Department of Rehabilition, do you know of any scholarships, grants, or a different form of financial aid that will pay for college in full, without me needing to repay?

I have an essay to write for a scholarship, but its somewhat vague. The requirement is as follows:

1. Write a letter to the committee why you should be selected as a scholarship recipient. Please indicate on the letter your plans for next year.

Well I've done these sort of things before, but they normally provide a scholarship criteria, and I can describe how I am an example of the criteria. This scholarship is different though. The only thing it states is that the scholarship is made in dedication of a man who believed the importance of being a good group/team member and that we should make the most of our opportunities. So do I address these characteristics? And how shoudl I start the essay?

I have two student loans, one is a private educational loan, which is killing me because they are charging 10% interest, and the other is through my alma mater, the interest rate on that is 6% if I’m not mistaken. The total of both loans is about $13,000.

Does anyone know of a company or non-profit group that can help me consolidate these loans, so I can have one low monthly payment? I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance!

I am in pharmacy school and the cost is about 15000 a year the school has budgeted 20,195 for the year, I have been awarded 3500 for the year. How much will my school award me since my parents are denied, there is no possible way I can come up with the other 10,000! ( I think it will increase from 3500 to 5500 because I will be classified as a junior)

I am getting ready to graduate from school and lets face it I am destined to be poor the rest of my life which I am ok with. Due to "bettering myself" I now have 50,000 dollars in loans. Does any one know of programs, grants or organizations that can help me get on the right track and help me pay my loans?

I'm applying for SSI because I'm on medication for paranoid skitso, bipolar, depression, and anxiety..my question is, would that be enough for me to qualify? I was also in slow classes in grade school so it goes way back. Also, how much will I get a month? I've worked since I was 17 up until now and I also need to know how to get a copy of my W2 form from last year because I don't know where it is..

I'm Christian and I plan to go to Dallas Theological Seminary after I finish my undergrad studies. I go to Oakland University in Michigan and just finished my freshman year. My problem is the cookie cutter scholarship searches do not find anything that suits me. I have a Fastweb account but it isn't cutting it. I am looking for any and all scholarships, but I'm most interested in scholarships for Christians. Like Best Testimony wins a scholarship or anything designated for Christians. It seems like I have to claim affiliation with some denomination to find any scholarships and I don't want to do that. Please help me find some scholarships, which are not school specific, that I can apply for. Any amount is fine just let me know of scholarships or of any websites which you had success with. I mean ones where I can really find what I'm looking for.... I have other unique qualities: donating to locks of love, divorced parents, was an athlete etc. but none of the cookie cutter sites work
