I work for a gambling treatment program and would like to establish an up-to-date list of pubs/hotels/bars in Sydney that do not have pokie machines.

So any names of pubs without pokies would be great (particularly if you have been there recently).

Or, if anyone has any other ideas on how to get this information (other than calling every pub in Sydney!) that would also be great!

It doesn't have to be sit down and hear music and enjoy wine, but something other than fallafel or pizza. Maybe somewhere with a chicken dish, or hamburger option?

Two questions about starbucks. I enjoy their coffee because it has double the caffine. Two things really bug me about Starbucks. They have 3 different sizes for their coffees- the smallest is called a tall. I refuse to play that game with them. I tell them I want the largest coffee. Another thing I don't like is that stupid big glass tip jar- why should I give a tip for someone pouring me a cup of coffee? Do you tip at McDonalds or Burger King? I would like your thoughts. Thank you

Should it always be the man or should the person who issued the invitation pay? Or should the bill be spilt?

I would be grateful for any serious suggestions here! I live in Glasgow and have a friend coming from Austria for the weekend, on Friday. I really don't know city centre restaurants that are good but not crazily expensive, (no chinese or indian suggestions please - Ive overdosed on them!). So I need suggestions for nice restaurants to go to, and also some pubs that aren't full of 18 yr olds, not that I have anything against them lol but at 42 Id prefer somewhere a bit calmer and older :) I also have some mobility problems and would be interested to hear of any suggestions for a touristy place to take my guest!
Thankyou in advance for your replies

They have to bring them in fresh somewhere here in the East Bay/Berkely/Oakland area. I hate having to drive over to fishermans wharf everytime to get fresh crab. I want to buy and take home, not eat out. Safeway crabs are terrible.
