Dining Out - December 2006

About four years ago, there was a McDonalds burger that was marketed as being the grown-up's burger. I think I remember the commercials were kids asking about it. The "beef" patty was seasoned differently and it was larger than a quarter pounder. It lasted a few months and was replaced by the Big and Tasty. Anyone remember it's name?

Does anyone else go to the drive-thru at McDonald's and order some fries and they NEVER put ketchup in the bag, and when you ask for some they hand you one or two packets with a pissed off look as if you really put them out?

i have an 8" kobe bowl that i dearly love. it says on the bottom of the bowl that it is made exclusivly for j.c. penny i cannot find anymore and i would really like to obtain some . maybe even in differnet sizes . thank you, r. j. leary

I never am sure, especially when I have to go inside to collect my food. Such as is often the case at Outback or Black Angus restaraunts.

So I want to get ready, what are the top three BBQ spots? I hope to be in the NW suburbs, but within reason distance is not a problem.......

In Miami, my favorite spot is the church on 93St & 27th Ave...Not heavy on the sauce, nicely spicy and the meat falls of the bone.

i read about the melting pot resturant and i want to take my boyfriend for his birthday. It is a little expensive, but it looks like you get a lot of food. Can you take the leftovers home? and what about the sauces? It would seem like a huge waste if you cant.

Also i read you cook the food your self. I am not very god at cooking stuff, how does this work. Do you fry it? or what.

any other info you can give is cool too.
