I have a WinXP SP2 desktop system that was working fine yesterday. I turned it off last night. This morning, it booted up as normal until it got to the display of the login screen---at that point, it just re-booted itself with no explanation. I can boot in "Safe Mode", and in that mode the Device Manager shows no problems. The disks (which are NTFS) checkout OK, as does the memory. In Safe Mode, I was even able to get on the net and write a CD with some of my recent files on it. After restoring all the disks to yesterday's backup using Norton Ghost, it still behaves the same way. I guess I will try restoring to the day before yesterday. Any other suggestions?
