Can i change settings temporarily just to print something out, it doesnt matter that its not going to be black for this but i need it printed no matter what.

My PC no longer boots up. When I turn it on, it makes a clicking noise and just says the hard drive has failed.

Is there anyway I can recover this or do I need a new hard drive. I don't want to lose all my data..

I have a HP/Compaq nx9010 which currently has 256mb PC2100 DDR sdram but is slow; I also have 512mb PC2700 from a Seimens/Fujitsu laptop. Can I replace PC2700 for PC2100??

I turned on my newer Dell Windows XP computer and it doesn't even come up to the log in screen... its just a blank screen with a cursor? What do I do?

My computer as stopped working, smell coming from power supply, have replaced power supply but absolutly dead. on inspection of main board there is a little green light that illuminates when computer is switched on. but no action from computer. Would this indicate that the main board is up the swanny, or is there a magic little switch or fuse somewhere on the main board, that is hiding itself.. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.Dave Thanks.

I'm going to be away for a couple a weeks and I don't trsut my neighborhood, how can I put my computer, with the web-cam attached to it, to record everything while I'm away, do I need some kind of special software, or hardware, to record long periods of time ? will appreciate yuor help anybody ? thank you.

after running win XP in cdrom, formatting takes place. but after copying files my pc restarted and this appears in the screen:

Remove disks or other media, Press any key to restart
BOOT from ATAPI CD-ROM: Failure...
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

AFTER I PRESS ENTER SAME MESSAGE APPEAR
