removed plastic tab on cartridge so i know its making contact,it just wont print now only after i installed the new cartridge,any ideas

while switch on the computer, POST program will take place during that time if any hardware problem would find by the beef sound. so give some idea about that what sound indicates the which hardware problem.
ex. long beef sound indicates RAM problem.

My printer was working fine yesterday until it ran out of paper. I reloaded it with paper and hit the resume button and NOTHING! I turned it off and back on and still nothing. I dont understand why it wont work when all I did was re-load paper. Someone please help me out. I really need it tonight!! Thanks a bunch!

the pc (motherboard pc chips) even though is set to see the hard drvie config automatically...doesn't. when booted it says the boot record cannot be found but when i hit the reset key it will find the hard drive with no problem. Why would it need to be reset after cold power on for it to work? The drive is configed as master and everything in bios seems right. Thanks!!!!

Anyone got, or know anything about, an Omega external hard drive? Tonight lots of my programmes wouldn't open and then I noticed that the little lights on the ex drive weren't on. The switch on the socket where it was plugged in was turned off. This is a multi socket thing and all the others were still on. Could it have turned itself off as a safety factor? It could have happened that somethin fell on the switch and turned it off. I don't know.
I turned it on again and all the data is still on it.
It has two little green lights on the front of it. One is on all the time and the other is off but a bit of light goes thro it now and again. I can't remember if the two were on all the time before the switch turned off. Is there any danger of fire if I use this? Has this happened to anyone before? Is there a safety cut out factor on an external hard drive? I'm a bit nervous using it so can anyone help, please?

My mother has a pc that is relatively old, and the hard drive is about 85% full. I want to buy her a new hard drive and move her existing info to the new drive.

The end result is I want the pc to boot up with the same OS and programs but with much more space. I don't want to have to replace all of the software because it would cost a small forture.

There has to be a way to accomplish this, I hope someone can help. I've tried the obvious, coping all of one drive to another, but the new drive won't boot.

any help would be great.

Even though the sound is on, for some strange reason nothing is playing sound. I have a laptop and recently its fan has been coming off because of high usage. Could this be the reason that there is no volume? If so please explain and if not please tell me why it is not working? I have a laptop so i do not have any speakers attached. They are in the computer itself. Even when i put in my earphones there is still no sound.

I have an old Compaq Presario desktop pc that has a small hard drive of only 9GB...(it's sad, really). I just came across an old spare hard drive that holds an additional 6GB.
Is there any way I can install this extra HD on to my Presario that I'm currently using to gain more storage capacity???
If so, how??? Your help is appreciated.

I've tried switching every possible cable and combination for my hard drive and my DVD burner. The farthest I've gotten was one second on the Windows XP boot screen and then it restarted. Now, when the DVD rom (Toshiba SD R2572) boots, it says press any key to boot. If it leave it alone with the XP CD in there, it will say Disk Start Error. When I try to boot with the hard drive nothing happens, even though it works ont he other computer. The normal progress I get is just to pass the motherboard check and enter BIOS.

i put everything back together correctly i think. i was looking for my graphics card but it turns out it is intigrated with the motherboard. when i got it put back together and pressed the power button, it sounded like it was starting up but the screen never comes on and about 15 seconds after pressing the power button the system shuts down. any thoughts and/or advice will be much appricitated.
